Alexander was the BEST tour guide. I came down with altitude sickness and he immediately jumped in to action to get me a medic. He stayed by my side the whole time. His empathy and professionalism was amazing. I will forever be indebted to him and his company. In addition to his heroism. Tour lasted most of the day. The salt cathedral was amazing. And the town of Zipaquira was so quaint. We could have spent more time there. Alexander was a wealth of knowledge about the places we were visiting and very patient with our group of seven. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide!!!

The tour description is misleading, as by reading you expect a guided tour with bilingual guide. However, in fact you get transportation and all communication is arranged via google translator. The driver was friendly and tried his best, but for that price I would expect at least fluent English, especially while all group are foreigners.

Wonderful tour. I would have preferred an English speaking guide in the salt mine, rather than an audio guide.

The tour guide Christhiam provided door to door pickup and drop-off service. He was informative during the drive up to the Salt Cathedral, and answered any questions while inside the mine. The tour does not include the cost of entry into the mine or lunch. Those will need to be paid for separately. The Salt Cathedral is unique, but I think the significance will vary based on how religious the guest is. The workmanship of the workers that created the various scenes, is worth seeing. After the Salt Cathedral, the tour also goes into the nearby town where you have the opportunity to get some souvenirs. The local restaurant that we went to for lunch was really good.
