Laguna de Guatavita
Our first stop will be the Guatavita Lagoon, a sacred place for the Muisca people and the birthplace of the legendary El Dorado story. We’ll take a peaceful walk along the natural trails that surround the lagoon, enjoying breathtaking mountain views and the serene atmosphere of this mystical site. The hike is of easy to moderate difficulty, with some uphill sections and stairs, but it’s done at a relaxed pace perfect for connecting with nature and discovering the spiritual energy that still lives in this sacred landscape. Entrance ticket included for option #2.
Our next stop will be the charming town of Zipaquirá. After exploring the natural beauty of Guatavita Lagoon, we’ll continue our journey to this historic town, famous for its colonial architecture and vibrant local culture. We’ll enjoy a relaxing walk around the main square, where you can admire the beautifully preserved colonial buildings, visit local shops, and experience the authentic atmosphere of a traditional Colombian town. There will also be free time for lunch, allowing you to explore the town at your own pace and enjoy its local flavors. Afterwards, we’ll continue to our next highlight — the magnificent Salt Cathedral — combining culture, leisure, and the charm of Zipaquirá.

First of all I want to thank our driver Christian for driving us safely to every location and our guide Sergio who is fun and ready to answer every question. The trip was very good and gave us enough time to experience every location, which Sergio giving us solid information at every step. I went here solo, but didn't feel solo at all. Highly recommended.

Cristian Camilo was great. He was interesting, well-rounded and always willing to answer all questions. The trek of the lagoon is very beautiful and give us the necessary time according to your pace to climb the mountain. Thanks for this unforgettable tour and we recommend it 100%

The tour guide was pretty inconsiderate. There was 2 of us who didn't speak Spanish. Everyone understood English but he spoke Spanish 98% of the time a few times he repeated in English but for the most part I had no idea good thing there was a girl beside me on the bus who saw I was confused multiple times and translated it in English for me. The tour and sights were amazing and the bus was good and clean. The guide just needs to be a lot more considerate of the people who don't speak Spanish. I'm sure it was easier for him to have a conversation in Spanish but if that's what you want then you should only take Spanish speakers out with you. It should not be the job of other passengers to translate.

A unique experience to do if you are in Bogota. Our guide Sebastian and Juan the driver were amazing and were attentive at all times to our needs. We did it with our 5-year-old daughter and I really enjoyed the trip. Total recommended.

Carmelo and Milena a 20/10. Formal, nice, friendly, always looking good. Communication from minute 1 great and Milena, our guide, has done an excellent job He told us millions of interesting things, accompanied us at all times, always pending, at our disposal. He took us to eat at a typical Colombian place. I felt very welcome throughout, I had a great time. I would definitely come back and recommend to everyone.

Sergio was one of a kind those 151 uneven stone steps took a lot out of me and my lungs but Sergio and the group we travelled with encouraged me every step of the way, his knowledge was appreciated for all of the sites we had seen and his love of music was a great distraction on the long ride home

Sandro and Sergio were great. The bus came to our hotel 10 minutes early (around 9am) and left us around 8 pm. Top tour, not to rushed, just as it should be. We got a lot of really interesting information and saw these beautiful places. Admission fees were covered, no additional fees were needed (except lunch if you wanted to), and we didn't have to wait for the entrances since it was done without flaw. Totally recommend!

Nice tour, plus the Guide and driver promotes a fun atmosphere as they make some jokes and give curious data of the places where the tour passes

This was a long tour of 12 hours but totally worth it. Sergio was our guide and Sandro was our driver. Sergio was hilarious and brimming with knowledge and he truly made our tour enjoyable. I learnt so much about Colombian history and culture on this tour. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch had some truly amazing food, which helped keep our spirits up for sure.
