We were searching for a nice and creative workshop during our long weekend in Athens with my daughter and chose this one because of the positive reviews and the photo's. Pavlos is a very skilled and friendly artist, he introduced us to pottery together with a young couple from Australia/USA. We got a bit theory, how it is made, about the types of clay and some interesting sculpture facts from art history. Then we could choose an object to make and discussed it with Pavlos and made the first steps together. Pavlos jumped in if we needed help but he just let us to explore and sink in the making of our masterpiece. We highly recommend this workshop, we had so much fun together and learnt a bit pottery.

I went to the studio with my two preteen kids. The neighborhood was very desolate and a bit creepy....like a ghost town. The man who was to be our teacher was getting defensive about many things. I said we were thirsty and he replied, "Well I don't sell water here." I asked him to repeat what he said politely, "Could you pls repeat that?" To which he replies, "You can't understand me? I'm speaking English." I explained that his accent was very thick plus I have a hearing impairment. I asked him when the other local artist would be joining to teach us as the title for the activity is "Ceramic and Pottery Creative Workshop with TWO Local Artists." I have a child with a disorder and somewhere someone had mentioned the other artist being a female and my child would only feel comfortable if there was a female teaching so I told him that "This is what the title is of the experience" to which he replied, "That's JUST the title." Of course, that's absurd as a title gives you the main info/most important details about what you'll be experiencing. And I expressed that this could be difficult for my kid. He declared "I"ve decided you should go. I am insulted!" This was completely shocking/bizarre and totally unprofessional. To have a workshop with this title and be offended that someone expects what is written shows his unprofessionalism and that he has some issues unfortunately. My kids and I left. We were a bit shocked but we had a nice time afterwards. Definitely DO NOT recommend!!!

We did this class in May and paid for our pieces to be shipped to Ireland. They never arrived and he’s ignoring messages after saying he sent them in September. Look at the other reviews and avoid this class as he’s clearly a scammer. So disappointing as the pieces we made held sentimental value.

Paul and his assistant were wonderful . It is amazing that we created art from scratch especially me that i was completely ignorant with the material.

  • Disappointing, suggest getting a workshop with other studios. Especially if you want to keep your pieces.

My friend and I went here on September 2023 and the workshop experience itself was okay. Cool activity, but I suggest going to another studio if you’d like to keep your ceramics and not have the rude aftermath others experienced as you can read on other reviews. They told us they can deliver each piece and heat it in their kiln after a month or so as long as we pay 30 Euros each piece. Unfortunately, after over a year of messaging them, we never got it at all. It’s a tourist trap! So, beware, and avoid going through what we experienced. The first few messages they’ll message saying they know you paid, they got super busy, they still need more time, etc., but after a while I was just left on Read. I was very patient, and was very understanding, but after a long time, I just accepted we’ll never actually get them altogether. It’s disappointing honestly because they were pieces that were meant as a gift.
