We walked past festive Christmas markets. There were dazzling lights and the scent roasted chestnuts which was irresistible. The guide also had good knowledge about Vienna’s music scene. Overall, this tour was a mix of sightseeing and festive fun.

The tour guide had not been told what tour she was leading, and she started the tour by saying that she was booked all day and would need to leave early. When we mentioned that the tour details mentioned that we would visit three Christmas markets, she tried to come up with a plan. Unfortunately, only one of the three Christmas markets selected was open. We ended up going back to these two markets later in our trip, and they were lovely, but this tour is pure false advertising and highway robbery for the price that they charge. It honestly angered the whole family, but we have just decided to make a running joke of the whole thing. Save your money. You can find the markets on your own. I gave two rather than one star, because the tour guide did her best. It is the tour company’s fault and not the guide. Horrible business.

The older or rather ancient part of the town of Vienna is so lively with festivities and we are glad that the tour guide covered all that. We bought some Christmas treats from some of the stalls. We enjoyed this tour around Vienna.
