Cao Dai Temple
The Great Holy See Temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of South-East Asia. It is the headquarters of the unique Cao Dai sect, a religion with a hybrid of Buddhism, Christianity & Confucianism. Above the entrance is the all-seeing holy eye – symbol of the sect. Visitors will attend the midday ceremony’s extravaganza to witness the daily mass held by the Cao Dai followers which is a fantastic experience.
Cu Chi Tunnels
Proceed to Cu Chi to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid during the War. It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists - the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone". Visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food in war time). Return to SaiGon.

Must visit item if visiting Vietnam. The history of the war is very interesting and very moving. Definitely worth experiencing a small piece of what the Vietnamese experienced during the war. The guide was very knowledgeable and very open about what happened. Great guy!

Worth a visit! We stayed at Eden star hotel. To go the Cu Chi tunnels, we hired taxi from Grab for both ways. Booked on Grab app for one way and the driver agreed to take take us back to the hotel also. The tickets cost for a family for 4 people is approximately 600,000 VND and this cost includes a local guide available at the site. The tickets have to be purchased at the entrance of the site. The tunnels are located at two locations i.e Bin Dinh and Bin Duoc. We had gone to Bin Duoc tunnels which are supposed to be better and more authentic. Private tour operators charge double the money for a private tour and not worth it. Doing by yourself is easy and saves money! It took us about about 1.5 hrs from the hotel to the tunnels.

Great experience of the tunnels however took a long time to get there as the tour took you to a disabled shop where you were obliged to buy a picture which were wonderful but very expensive. They also took you to watch Singing so you were asked to tip. We also had a trip on the Mekong River on a small raft. 10 hour trip for $AU150.00. Would have enjoyed it more for half a day.

Impressive experience. We had a Guide who told a lot of useful information. I would highly recommend this. The day before this visit we went to the war museum in Ho Chi Minh. Both visits are very rewarding and very impressive. During the journey to the tunnels you see how the people in Vietnam live.
