Our tour was to include a stop and visit at the Hopperstad stave church. Because of an unexplained issue with the ferry we reversed the order of the trip which meant when we got to the stave church we could not go inside as it was closed for the day. For most of our group this was an expected high point. Very disappointing. The Cider house lunch and tour was excellent. Highly recommend. Balestrand was a beautiful small town. A visit to the riverfront hotel was also a highlight. Driver and ferry guide were pleasant but little “guiding” provided. My attempts to contact the company on the Sunday prior to our departure were fruitless. No response to email, what’s up chat or phone. I appreciate that it was a holiday but would have expected someone would be monitoring one of these means of communication.
