This tour will go in rain or shine. In the winter months, it can happen that the sea freezes in the innermost part of the fjord where there is a lot of fresh water mixed with the sea water, brackish water. If there is so much ice that there is no safe passage for boats, the captain will then choose an alternative route in this area. This is beyond our control and it does not give grounds for claiming a refund for the trip. We will always do our best to give our customers great experiences, even on days when the forces of nature are not easy to handle.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Osterfjorden is a fjord in Vestland county. The fjord is one of three fjords surrounding the island of Osterøy. The fjord runs along the municipal border of Lindås and Osterøy municipalities. The fjord begins at the Romarheimsfjorden and flows to the west for 27 kilometres (17 mi) before ending near the village of Knarvik at the confluence of four fjords: Osterfjorden, Radfjorden (to the north), Sørfjorden (to the south), and Salhusfjorden (to the west). The Osterfjorden is generally about 1 to 3 kilometres (0.62 to 1.86 mi) wide and the deepest point in the fjord reaches a depth of 639 metres (2,096 ft) below sea level
Canalized river with tidal water deep into the Osterfjord. The stream is about 600 metres long and between 50 and 60 meters wide at the most narrow place. Mostraumen was canalized (dredged) about 1913.

It’s a nice cruise especially towards the turning point when you are close to the rocks. Staff were great. Can buy food & drink. Inside warm. Clean toilets. WiFi. I suggest you get on early to get a window seat inside. Maybe windows should be cleaned outside between each trip. Outside deck is quite small but there is some seating.

We wanted to see the magical fjords in our time in Bergen. We chose this to do as a day activity. First of all, it's blistery on the deck where in my opinion it's got better views than inside but we were there in late summer/fall. The seats on the deck and the side of the boat go fast so grab one and stay there if you want one. We had a group of young adults that kept trying to push us off our side of the boat seats to sit as a group of six and if we went to get tea or the bathroom they took the seats. Bring scarves, hats, and mufflers and make sure you enjoy the beauty up close for some of the journey. They have piped in explanations of what you are seeing which were helpful and classical music at some points to highlight the majesty and drama of the scenery which was a nice touch. If you are in Bergen and have a few hours this is well worth your time and a highlight of our trip!

The boat was too small to pack 230 passengers. Families were jostling and pushing to sit together. When they left their seats, they came back to find their seats taken. The deck capacity was too small to accommodate even a third of the passengers - people were jostling to get good pics. The Fjords were amazing. Overall, did not feel at ease on such a crowded boat.

The trip was moved from 12 to 10.30 at another departure point at short notice. You have to read his emails, of course. No problem for us now. In retrospect even better, because you arrive again in the bright. The weather also plays a role, of course. We had sunshine. Duration approx. 4 h.

Oversold and not enough seats for everyone. Made us question the safety should the worst happen. The scenery was nice if you could see past the people. However I'd of rather paid more for a quieter tour. Young lady worked very hard doing 3 people's jobs.

A very nice walk. As the fjord was frozen, we were unable to go to the end but the captain proposed another alternative in a narrower fjord and towards the sea. Snow, sun ... 3h30 during which we were not bored. Coffee and snacks available during the cruise. Nice staff. Bravo Eric The Red!

Paid a lot of money for this trip and nearly missed it due to being given the wrong departure location by provider. It was just good luck we had arrived early and then had to rush to get to a different location. Others may have not been so lucky.

The path through the fjords was extraordinary, unforgettable landscapes, very picturesque with the houses and explanation of each place we were seeing

According to the people running the experience, there are enough seats inside for everyone to be able to sit indoors. As I went in the winter time, this was an important detail. However, there is a problem with the seating by the windows, which is 3 across. People will not sit in the middle seat!
