We had an amazing time on the food tour! We got to explore the delicious cuisine of Bologna and heard some wonderful stories about Italy and its food culture. While we felt the price of the tour was a bit high for what we received, overall, we had a fantastic experience. The tour guide was very friendly and spoke clear English, making it easy for us to understand everything she said. We truly enjoyed our time and would recommend the tour to others

D was our guide and a pasta chef locally, so knew he knew the food inside-out. This wasn't just several coursed in one tour, it felt like several tours rolled 5 (or was it 6) hours. Not just eating and learning about the food and its history, this was also an cultural tour of Bologna, which showed us to places not on the tripadvisor 'top 20 things to do', hence if you're in Bologna for a few days, do this early. Do this tour!

Our guide was very nice and we enjoyed the tour. It was a very small group, which was nice. The overall energy level was a little subdued, and the food we experienced (tasted) was very good but not as exciting as we had expected. This is being a bit critical but our overall experience was very good and we would recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed the food market with meat and cheese shops. Darren did a great job intertwining history with the food of Bologna!

Darren is the perfect host. He is not only a guide, he is not only a chef, he is so much more than that. With his passion for food, his experience as a chef, his knowledge on Bologna food and history, we tasted all the pallets. We took the tour on our first day in Bologna, which I would recommend, as Darren gives so much tips where to eat.
