These are a little miss leading. They say tour the factory, but what it doesn’t say is you can’t actually go into the factory or even get off the tour bus or take any pictures. You drive by aspects of the factory but you don’t actually tour them. The car test was ok but I mentioned about my height 6’7” and it was never made clear to me that I might not be able to do the Formula Race Car simulation part of the tour. Which I couldn’t do. Also, there is not a racetrack to drive on the only race track was the Ferrari race track and they don’t let public drive on it . Needless to say I’m glad I didn’t book the very pricey tour that some of the items were not available. Based the information on site.

The museum and test drive were great, so was the lunch! Felt a bit rushed but we had traffic on the way to the event so leave extra time.

Firstly, I want to say we had an AMAZING time. However, there were a few hiccups which therefore made us rate it as “average.” The company sent us a schedule the day before which was wonderful. We knew exactly when each part of the tour would start. This message also told us that our driver would escort us to each activity. Our driver was waiting for us in the hotel at the exact time mentioned. He was very nice but did not understand English. This would not have been a problem at all had we not had hiccups. When we got to Ferrari, we got to go in before everyone else. HUGE PERK. The museum was amazing. We needed at the simulator section of the museum. They informed us we did not have a reservation. I showed them the booking and they told us the simulator was at another location called “push start,” not the ones on the museum. This was a bummer as my husband was excited to do the Ferrari simulators. We left to find our driver to escort us to the simulators but we could not find him. A Ferrari worker helped us find where we needed to go across the street. Once at Push Start, they walked us to another building for the simulator. It was fun! After, they brought us back to Push Start to do the test drive. I did not have my license so they gave my husband 20 minutes instead of 10. Super kind! However, they were running late. We were supposed to drive at 11 and we did not drive until 11:40. This made us miss the bus factory/track tour at 11:30. After the test drive (which was amazing) we tried to get on another bus tour. The only option was to do the 1:30 but that was during lunch. I tried to find our driver but we couldn’t find him. I tried to call The company but they did not answer. I texted and they did not answer. Finally my husband found the driver, but he did not understand what we were saying. So we ended up just going to lunch. We knew we were missing the factory tour, but at that point we were over it. We decided to stay in Maranello for the Grand Prix, so we told the driver we were good, and he could leave us. Lunch at Cavallino was AMAZING. It was hands down the best food and service we’ve ever had. The tour company called when we were at lunch to confirm we were staying in Maranello. We said yes. Later they texted and tried to blame us missing the bus tour on me not having my license for the test drive. I wrote them back saying that wasn’t the issue. The issue was the test drive was running behind. It’s been 48 hours and they have still not responded to me. So although it was wonderful, these were the cons: - we missed the bus tour - the driver was not there to escort us or help us - it would have been way cheaper to book everything without the tour company - the simulator was not a Ferrari simulator Pros: - Cavallino was amazing - the museum was so wonderful - the test drive was great. They felt bad we missed the tour so they gave us the recording of the test drive for free

We had the absolutely best time. We were picked up exactly at 9am by Francesco. On our way out of Bologna, Francesco gave us some little tidbits about what we were seeing. Once we got to the museum, he walked us up to the desk to help us get our tickets and walked us through the schedule for the rest of the day. We spent about an hour in the museum which was really cool and then got some espresso. Francesco met us again and walked us over to the test drive/ simulator place. The test drive was so fun (even if a bit intimidating) and the simulator was pretty hard but cool. Francesco then walked us over to the bus where we got on for the panoramic tour of the Ferrari factory. After that, Francesco drove us over to the restaurant where we had such a fantastic meal. The restaurant also had some of the most amazing Ferrari decor. Overall just an amazing, fun, special experience. We can’t Francesco enough for how attentive and great he was.

Driving a Ferrari was the best experience. It would have been even better if it was off public roads with straight sections where greater acceleration could be achieved in safety. The simulator was a fabulous experience especially as one could choose the circuit. The lunch and the transportation were top notch. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his birthday treat.
