Explore more of Pompeii than you would on any other guided tour, with a trained archaeologist to provide stories and context that will help you make the most of your visit. Upon meeting up with your guide and small group, you’ll skip the long lines to enter the ruins. Hear fascinating stories about life in the Roman Republic and see how ordinary people lived nearly 2,000 years ago. See the remains of a bakery where the food is still almost intact, the Temple of Apollo and the Roman Forum, an ancient supermarket, a cemetery, and even a brothel (if age appropriate). Marvel at the heart-wrenching plaster casts of those caught in the eruption at the exact moment of their death. You’ll also explore the House of the Vettii, a fascinating private home that recently reopened to the public following restoration. End with a stroll along the old city walls for panoramic views.

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide Anna was extremely personable and knowledgeable. She knew very well how to navigate through the crowds while still giving us great insight into the lives of the people that used to live there. Wear comfortable shoes as the streets are bumpy and bring some water. The headsets really help to hear her when around a lot of other people.

Such a great tour. Our guide was a former archaeologist at Pompeii and has given tours for over 20 years. And such a delightful personality. I don’t know how anyone does Pompeii without a tour - would be so overwhelming! Highly recommend!

Iaria T. was our fabulous guide for 2.5 wonderful hours. She brought Pompeii alive for us with her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge. The walk was the right pace, only 12 people in our group, with the appriate level of archaeological detail, all with a friendly approach. Highly recommended walking tour, and a bonus if ypu get Ilaria as uour guide.

This tour was fantastic I would do it all over again it was the favorite part of touring the sites of Italy. The tour guide Enzo had passion for his job. I would love to do the tour of Herculaneum with him should we ever return to Italy.

This tour of Pompeii was great! Our tour guide, Ilaria, was an archaeologist who had previously dug in Pompeii, so she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our many questions. She stopped for a few photo ops when appropriate and was happy to take photos when asked. This was one of our favorite tours of our trip. My only complaint is the the earpiece used to be able to hear the guide kept falling off of my ear, making me constantly hold onto it. Otherwise, Ilaria was great and we highly recommend this tour.
