4.00Overall this was a good experience, but with a few caveats. The Palancar Reef visit was unexceptional compared to other snorkeling sites around Cozumel. It may have just been an off day, but the number of fish and diversity of species was very low. The Columbia and Cielo Reefs were better and we got to see turtles stingrays up close. The Captain and Crew were very professional and provided a great experience. However, this is not a Catamaran-type boat so the access from the water is by ladder not a stairway, which may be more challenging for some.

5.00My kids first Snoking experience which was so much fun. They really enjoyed it and saw so many beautiful sea creatures. It took $10 one way for taxi for 4 peoples from cruise port to there, not bad.

3.00Boat is tiny and uncomfortable for 15 people There are no snorkel fins available and there is a lot of swimming to do if you want to see something…bring your own masks as they are pretty bad quality.. S There was a decent amount of fish, but expected more from these reefs.

4.00Had a great time the water was beautiful. We saw turtles, fish, stingrays, and starfish. Ricky was excellent. I couldn’t recommend him enough. He kept the group together and ensured our safety.

5.00Viator accepted more clients than the sub contractor had boats for. The contracted company (Maybe Tours) was able to arrange 2 more insured boats to accommodate us all. They experience with the guides from Leon Tours was excellent.

2.00Viator uses local fishing boats for their Snorkeling Trips. I have been Snorkeling and Diving for 50 years, and this boat was not adequate, specifically the ladder. After visiting the 3 Reefs, which were Beautiful with lots of sealife, we went to Stingray Beach. I was decending the ladder and was stepping onto the Sandy bottom, when my right pinky ring got hooked on a bolt 🔩 sticking out of the ladder 🪜. The skin on my finger split apart. I was taken to the Cozumel Hospital by Ambulance as my finger was bleeding alot. The Doctor stitched it, but didn't get it closed completely, I was charged $1,200., they wouldn't take my Insurance. I did make it back to the Margaritaville Islander by 4:30pm, as they were leaving Port.
