Don't go on this tour if you want to see a wide variety of fish, interesting coral reefs and lots of starfish. I don't normally give bad reivews, but people should know about his one. After a bus ride, taxi transfer and a ferry to Cozume, my wife and I along with about 12 others walked to the snorkel boat. After about 45 minutes of a bumpy and ocean-sprayed ride we arrived at the snorkel site. The first clue that I wouln'd be ideal was they only offered goggle and snorkel -- no fins. That is because you weren't expected to go any where. We floated around and saw a few fish there only because they chummed the water. The variety of fish was minimal. The sea floor was about 10-15 meteres down and there were no interesting reefs to see -- merely non-descrip dark clumps of rock far below. We then travelled to the starfish area. We saw about 5 starfish on the white sand seafloor and no other fish life. That was it for the snorkelling! Very unsatisfying. The third stop was a white sand wading area varying in depth from about 1-2 meters. There were aboutr 100 other boats there and and about 500 or more people wading around drinking. There they provide snacks and drinks for about 30 minutes. Then a bumpy ride back to Cozumel port. The lunch provided at a mexican-style restaurant was fine. Then you had bout 3 hours to explore the Cozumel town before heading back on the ferry. Also, it was a very long day. The pickup time from our Hotel (the Fives Oceanfront) was scheduled for 7am. We didn't return until about 8:30pm (13.5 hours later). On the plus side, the staff were friendly and organized. And the lunch was of good quality. My wife and I did a reef adventure 2 days earlier in Puerto Morelos ( Complete Snorkeling Guided Activity in Puerto Morelos Mexico) for about 1/4 of the price (no lunch, food and drink included), but is was a much better snorelling experience.

Jose and Pancho were our guides for this excursion. We had a great time with them! Lots of fish, starfish, and stingray. We even had a shark hang out with us at the stingray stop. Fun for the whole family, he was even great with my nervous kids. Can’t wait to get our pictures. Thank you for the fun day!

The crew was excellent, and they found the right spots for us to snorkel. Lunch on the sandbar was fun. Who knew that sharks were included on the tour.

Having Gaspar, our guide, in the water with us kicked this tour up a notch! We went to 4 different locations where he showed us many different fish, sea turtles, sting rays, sea stars, and even a nurse shark. First-time snorkelers got patient instruction. This was a very good introduction to Cozumel reefs!

Well, it's just not the best snorkeling trip I've ever done. I had very high expectations because I painted well but I think I lacked empathy with my daughter who was afraid and it would have been very helpful if they had given her confidence, they would not let us use the fins. Of the three places I only went down to two and it was nice but there were a lot of people in the same place, it was not nice in heaven. The guide was friendly, but I got the feeling that they were dispatching tours, there was not much empathy.

Exactly what I was looking for. But... So, getting off a cruise ship. Avoiding their excursions. Got exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful. Safe. Perfect timing. Perfect day. But. You should be prepared. First, getting there. We walked. It was fine. Only a mile. But, it's not well populated. And finding the office was not easy. And go to the bathroom before you go, if you can. There are no bathrooms during. The boat is small but safe. We had 12 people. But it could have been 16. Would have been tight. Also huge. Put on sunscreen BEFORE you go. To protect the coral, they won't allow you to put it on when you get to the boat. And you need sunscreen. The boat is rocky but worth it. We have one usually seasick niece. She made it, barely. Had a great time. The stops. Awesome. Stingrays. Sea turtles. Barracudas. Thousands of fish. So many colors. Starfish. Can even find great empty big shells. Was a great day. But be prepared.

Nice crew. But very unprepared. Boat is way to old and siize of motor way under powered for what is needed to keep up the length of the trip. The best was when we ran out gas to make the trip even longer. Also to start she got on the boat for a 4-5 hour day in water told we could not put in sun screen. Now if we had known we would have properly prepared. Just would not recommend.
