We really enjoyed our visit and tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels with our guide Phu. He spoke good English, imparted a good amount of information and was willing and able to answer questions. Phu is an excellent guide and clearly passionate about his job. The communication prior to the tour was good and the pick up was punctual. The tunnels themselves was the highlight of the tour. On the way we visited a craft factory that employs victims of Agent Orange, which was interesting and there was no pressure to buy. We could have done without the visit to the gun range, but this was something some of our tour group wanted to do. The restaurant for lunch on the way back was reasonably priced and the food was excellent. We never felt rushed, but the multiple stops and traffic meant the tour ended up being about 8.5hrs from pick up to drop off. Fortunately our mini bus was very comfortable and well air conditioned. It would be ideal if you could choose a trip option that excluded the gun range.

The guide Lucky gave detailed explanations during the tour. Also, we got to climb tunnels of various distances. Very enriching experience.

Don’t believe the “non touristy” title. First stop a charity workshop, next stop a shooting range neither mentioned in the description. Finally got to tunnels 3 ½ hours after pick up. Felt rushed and no time to take photos.

fun and interesting tour! guide (Viet) was knowledgeable and funny, the tunnels were so quiet and we could go at our own pace. note that there is a visit to a local craft workshop at the beginning and a stop at a restaurant afterwards too (seemed like all tours go there).

Ingenuity of the tunnel builders and the harsh conditions they had to endure. Firing range was a hit, although beware it is AU$4 a shot.
