My Son Sanctuary
We will kick off our day trip with a visit to My Son, the capital and religious center of the former Champa Kingdom, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled in a lush green valley, My Son features dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from the 7th to the 13th century.
Hoi An Ancient Town
After exploring My Son, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Hoi An before diving into the city’s rich history on foot. Once a thriving seaport from the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An is now a must-visit destination in Southeast Asia. As we stroll through the historic town, we will make several stops to visit key sites, including the Hoi An Museum, renowned Ancient Houses showcasing remarkable architecture, and the Assembly Halls influenced by Chinese culture. We will also visit an Art Craft Manufacturing Workshop and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. These landmarks represent typical architectural styles in Hoi An and reflect the cultural fusion of France, Japan, China, and Vietnam. Despite the passage of centuries and the challenges of the elements, Hoi An remains a picturesque gem, preserving its ancient charm and tranquil beauty.

Had an amazing time at My Son Sanctuary and got a chance to experience the complimentary traditional dance. Also, loved the quick tour of Hoi An Ancient Town.

Both My Son sanctuary and Hoi An heritage are worth visiting, but if the guide offers little information about the places of interest(seems like he lack the knowledge),then I think it made the whole tour dull. While we were given free time to look at the ruins,we happened to listen to other guide explaining the significance of various structures and artifacts with great enthusiasm. Having a good guide makes a lot of difference to your experience. The tour agency should be more stringent vetting the standard of the guide.

Our tour guide Bí was the highlight of the tour. She was insightful, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. We visited multiple sights and were able to spend enough time at each place. Definitely worth seeing Da Nang.

Our guide Tom was entertaining and knowledgeable. He kept us amused all day. There was a lot of walking at My Son sanctuary but it was manageable. Fascinating site. Hoi An city is very pretty - would like to re-visit as didn’t have enough time to do it justice.

We had a great day exploring My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An with our lovely guide Huan (probably spelled that wrong, sorry!) My Son Sanctuary is not to be missed, the ruins are great and you can get right up to them and even go into a couple. The dance and flute performance when we arrived was also a great show. After My Son, we stopped for an absolutely delicious 4 course lunch set on a river. The food was spectacular! In Hoi An, our guide took us on a walking tour and we got to see a lot that we would have missed if we'd try to walk the streets ourselves, so the tour was excellent! Hoi An is such a gorgeous town, we loved it. Our driver was excellent, I have no idea how the Vietnamese navigate the traffic haha but he did it with ease, it was a very comfortable ride. Highly recommend this tour!
