Delphi tour was worth it. Katerina was great as a tour guide. Learned a lot about Apollo and Greek mythology.

First, plan on a 11+ hour day, not 9 hours. When they say it starts at 8:00 am, that means they need to pick up the last group by 8:00 am. So our pick up time was 7:30 am and then we didn't get back to our hotel until 7:00 pm. The guides were pretty good. The guide on the bus was nice, but she didn't bother using a microphone until someone kept saying they couldn't hear her. The bus ride is long, hilly and with lots of twists and turns. Our bus driver was pretty aggressive. So if you get motion sick easily this might not be for you. I really liked our guide at the site but she spoke very quickly so was sometimes hard to follow/understand. We were given headphones and she had a microphone, so there were not issues with not being able to hear her. I agree with another reviewer that they should have people buy tickets online ahead of time. Luckily the line wasn't too long when we got there. I'm not sure they do the tour in the same order every time, but we did the museum, then the site and then lunch before driving back. This put lunch at around 3:00 pm. So make sure you have a good breakfast before you go. About half our group opted to eat the restaurant. It had a nice view and everyone was happy with their meals except those that got lamb (or maybe it was goat). We all just paid for our own meals. Those who opted to eat at the restaurant only had about 15 minutes after the meal to walk around. There were lots of other options for places to eat for those that don't want to eat with the group. I typically book private tours, but for this I decided to try a group tour and thought it was pretty decent for the price. I saw another review complained about the price and said there were others that were cheaper -- but I'm not sure those had guides that walked you around the site.

The tour booked through Viator was with Getaways Greece. We booked a small group day tour to Delphi and ended up with another group for the tour of the site. Our guide at the site "Bernie" told us as he rushed us on the tour that we were late and he had another tour so we had to move fast. This was an English tour and he was very hesitant which resulted in delays. A number of other guests couldn't understand him. It would have been better if we were given the option to book the archicolohical site tickets on line. Reason for this is that we were 30 minutes waiting to get tickets due to some computer problem. I felt iissed out a lot in the museum. Really very disappointing day. Excuse any errors as am still on the return to Athens. Guide on the minibus Katerina was good though

Pros - great guide at Delphi which was amazing. Good guide in the mini-van. Cons - very expensive compared to other tours (and at that price, it doesn't include admission or lunch). Unfortunately I was on the first hotel pick up and it took +1 hour to get to all the hotel pick ups. Overall, I was in the 15 person mini-van for +4 hours before we got to Dephi, which was about a 2.5 hour ride. I would look elsewhere for tours that have a central meeting place to reduce the wasted time sitting in the mini-van. I would also look elsewhere for a more reasonably priced tour. I did another tour the previous day that was 7 persons and less than half the price.
