Ye Olde Mitre
Meet your guide and head to Ye Olde Mitre—one of London's oldest and most beloved pubs. Built in 1546, this charming pub is a favourite among locals and tourists. With its traditional Tudor-style exterior, Ye Olde Mitre is brimming with history and charm. Step inside and you're met with an old-fashioned atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve taken a step back in time—perfect for enjoying a pork pie and ale, as you’ll do for our first food tasting.
Next, it's a short walk to The Old Bell Tavern, which is a tribute to the London of days gone by. Located near the bustling streets of Covent Garden, it offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of London's streets. Here you’ll enjoy another classic pub pairing of a sausage roll with cider.

Would highly recommend this experience! Our guide Charo was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about London pub history, which made the experience even more enriching. The tour was very well researched and a great way to learn more about London’s history in a unique and experiential way — plus, you’re drinking along the way, so how can you really complain? Everything was as advertised (a variety of different ales and ciders, plus samplings of traditional London pub food), but the additional storytelling and fun facts along the way made it something we won’t forget! Some of the food portions were perhaps a bit smaller than I anticipated, which wasn’t a huge issue, just know it’s more of an afternoon snack rather than a meal’s worth of food. I would definitely do this tour again!

A great way to learn about the history of the City of London and visit some of its historical pubs for ale and bites. Very little dinner is needed afterwards.

Loved seeing the old pubs and trying the variety of foods. Didn’t love the cider or the tiny fried fish. Fish and chips and scotch egg were delicious though.

Good selection of pubs and saw a few sights along the way. Pub food was all served freshly cooked and hot. The history was okay, but I’ve been on pub tours that were more fun and had more interesting and humorous historical facts
