Enjoy an expert-led guided tour through our whisky distillery. You’ll learn about the heritage and traditions of scotch whisky production, as well as Holyrood’s innovative approach in creating new and unique whiskies. The tour includes a guided tasting of 4 delicious drams ranging from new-make spirit, aged new-make, and fully matured whisky to demonstrate our journey to our inaugural release, which launched in October 2023.

5.00I had a very enjoyable tour around Holyrood Distillery. Our guide Dave was very knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. Although it's quite a small and new distillery, it's definitely a must do for any whisky enthusiast visiting Edinburgh.

5.00The tour was quite informative and fun. The tasting samples were well thought out and gave you a good idea of the range they have. Guide was knowledgeable and fun. I especially appreciated their focus in the bar area of the distillery. They made sure it was a place of tasting and relaxing and not a place to get a buzz

5.00I have a lot of respect for the guide on the day: there was a vast range of people in the group from a non- whisky fan there with others to curious tourists to the likes of myself who have been on hundreds of tours and with interest in detailed and at times technical enquiries. He stayed accessible and fun for all and answered all and every question admirably whilst providing an insightful, enjoyable and tasty tour. It's an absolute must for all.

5.00Our visit was an excellent introduction to this relatively new distillery and whiskys. The tour was very informative and unique in the variety of ways it's totally different to other more traditional distilleries. Our excellent guide Joel was very knowledgeable, engaging and friendly, and the whisky (and other drinks) tasting was an enjoyable experience. Try the Ambir Malt, if you like your whisky with a bit of peat or smokiness. It's an exceptional drink. Great Distillery and well worth a repeat visit.
