4.00I highly recommend this service with a guided tour guide as the knowledge these people have is brilliant We used this service a lot during our long weekend in Edinburgh. It was very good. Regular, informative and convenient for travelling around the city. Some of the guides were better than others but everyone knew so much about the city’s history that it was good to hear different people. And definitely value for money if you use it a lot

4.00We loved having the live guides on these buses. It was also nice that it had stops across both the new town and old town. It wasn’t clear on Viator that you could start on any stop along the path, or where the stops were. It also doesn’t mention that for just £7 more per person, you can add the other two hop-on-hop-off buses in town, to have access to all three (you can “level up” on any of the buses).

3.00Upon asking when last bus was - was told 6:45 which is true unless you need to get from Rose street to Grassmarket. We ended up spending $10 in unplanned cab fare. Tour people were hard to hear and not funny at all. Boring which was unexpected and we had three. Try a red one.

5.00I dont remember our tour guides name, but he was so great. (He had dark hair and told us he acts as a historical figure in another tour?) Anyway, he had so much info and a great way of presenting it. Honestly he was so real with a humorously sassy personality. 😄 it really helped us get the lay of the land before adventuring around on foot. Highly recommend doing this early on in the trip.

5.00We really enjoyed the tour yesterday. Our guide was Steven, who was very knowledgeable and funny without being over the top. Thoroughly recommend the tour, we learnt lots about the city and it opened our eyes to many sights and buildings that we hadn’t really noticed before. Excellent.
