What To Expect
Museo Frida Kahlo
The tour will begin by meeting your guide at a local café, where you will learn about the fascinating history of Frida Kahlo. Your guide will tell you about her life, art, and legacy. Then, you will be accompanied to the Casa Azul Museum, where you will enter directly with the guide. During the tour, your guide will provide information about the museum’s rooms while you explore on your own. You will admire artworks, personal objects, photos, letters, and mementos of her life with Diego Rivera, her loves, and her struggles. You will see her rooms, her bed, the medical corsets she used, and the "Las apariencias engañan" collection featuring Frida’s iconic dresses. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to ask the guide any questions about Frida's life and work. If you wish to stay longer inside the house, you may do so and enter as many times as you like to continue exploring at your own pace.
Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli
The tour also includes entry to the Anahuacalli Museum, where you can explore another facet of Frida and Diego's legacy. This tour does not include a guide or transportation, but you will have access to the Anahuacalli Museum to enjoy its cultural richness at your own pace.

5.00Ivan was great! Highly recommend him, he provided interesting insight into Mexicos history in addition to Frida and Diego. He was also personable and passionate about his home town and navigated us to an awesome lunch spot after our tour, which we never would have ventured to our found on our own!

5.00Today we had a wonderful tour of Frida Kahlo Museum with our tour guide Ivan. Ivan was incredibly informative and interesting. We also went to lunch as part of our tour. Ivan took us to a restaurant in the Coyoacán Market and we had the best meal we’ve had since we have been in Mexico City. I highly recommend this tour!

1.00The guide never showed, I had to call to the agency to ask what is going on, at the beginning they said that the guide was on his way, they share with me his phone number and never answered either phone call or message, at the end they just sent us our tickets but there was no guide with us, they offered a partial refund that we haven’t heard about

3.00We booked a Tour of the museum with Market tour with food for 10:00 am. Received a text asking to change the time of the tour to 12:30. Not sure what happened but the original guide had a “problem” and we were directed to meet a different guide inside the museum. Armi was her name and she was fantastic. So informative and passionate about Frida which made the tour so much fun. not sure what happened regarding the market tour with food part but that never happened. All in all Armi saved the day and made our day enjoyable

5.00Enjoyed an amazing and very informative tour to the Casa Azul with Daniel from Chill N Go Tours! We walked throughout the museum and had much more information shared about the personal life and family history of Frida Kahlo. I definitely recommend booking this tour as it was extremely enjoyable with connection to the art seen at Museo Anahuacalli (one of the stops earlier in the day) and especially as my last stop in mexico on my way back home.

5.00Casa Azul is an amazing museum, and we felt that, without a doubt that our visit was more powerful, and fascinating with Maite as our guide. Maite intelligently began the tour in the entry courtyard with an overview of the story of Frida’s life and it set the stage for the rest of the visit. Maite explained this story to us with enthusiasm, asking us questions, and making sure we understood the players and the context. She guided us through our visit in a way that kept us entirely captivated. I’m normally a DIY person but the ease of booking a tour through Viator, and importantly that our visit was with the wonderful Maite has made me realize that I will never think twice about taking a tour again!
