On our tour, we will visit the romantic ravine Steinwandklamm and pass by the Myra Waterfalls. It is a very pleasant and beautiful hike with varied landscapes to admire. Along the trail, we enjoy stunning views to Schneeberg, the highest mountain of Lower Austria. This hike is perfect if you seek to get out of the city and explore a bit of the Austrian countryside.

What To Expect
After a short ride from Vienna, we arrive at the ravine Steinwandklamm, where we have to pay a small entrance fee* and start our hike. We wander through the romantic gorge by crossing wooden bridges and a little cave on top of it. From there we continue through a forest and to a plateau with magnificent views of Schneeberg, the highest mountain of Lower Austria. From the plateau we take a quiet forest path until we reach the beginning of the waterfalls. We follow the waterfalls for a while before climbing up a rather steep hill. After having mastered the sweaty ascent, we will be rewarded with a beautiful view from the summit into the valley and onto the surrounding hill chains. Our way leads us downhill and uphill again in gentle curves on a country road. We pass beautiful pastures and if we are lucky, may spot some cows or horses before we get back to the starting point. True countryside feeling just an hour away from Vienna! Duration ca. 3 hours. Length: 9 km. Highest point: 720 m. 5.00Karin is an excellent hike tour guide and the most pleasant person. Her English is great and she provides a wonderful perspective. Highly recommend to take a day from Vienna and see the countryside and mountains. This is a moderate level hike so be sure to bring some water and shoes with good traction.

Highly recommend this tour with Karin, she is the most pleasant conversationalist and very aware of your hiking speed and skills, making sure she goes at your pace. 5.00Karin was the most wonderful tour guide who made our hike truly special. She took us on a beautiful path in Myra Waterfalls which we really enjoyed. She was very patient with us when we needed to take breaks and allowed us to take as much time as we needed. I highly recommend choosing her as your tour guide if you are ever in Austria and fancied a hiking adventure! The scenery at the Myra Falls was breathtaking and refreshing and the hike was a great way to nature.
