Grateful to be whale watching this season from Lahaina, Maui!

Eye-level whale watching onboard our low-to-water small group rafts.

Native Hawaiian owned and voted TripAdvisors Traveler's Choice, Hawaii Ocean Rafting has been Maui’s original ocean rafting experience for more than 30 years. Our small group tours make for a fun, family style experience. Although whales are protected in Hawaii, they often approach our small boats for closer and eye level whale encounters.

Off season (Summer) join us for 2 Hour Dolphin Watching Tours.

We are just a short drive from Kaanapali, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua and other West Maui accommodations. And a fun destination for visitors staying in Kihei or Wailea.

Plan to get wet! This is a low to water boat- ocean spray and light rain can occur during tour.

    This experience was amazing! Even at the tail end of whale season we saw so many whales! We couldn’t believe our eyes! The crew was amazing! Will 100% do it again next time we come! We took sea sickness tablets before getting on which helped a lot if sea sickness is something you are worried about as the boat does rock a bit! Totally worth it!!!

    Amazing company, very professional and exceptional from top to bottom. If you are considering a fun outing for your family this is it. Super nice staff, boats are in great shape. We found whales inside of 10 minutes but even if we hadn’t this was. 5 star experience. Use this company they are amazing.

    Just do it!!!!! Captain Jack and Meredith were amazing. We had plenty of whale encounters and the team made sure we had a great experience. I highly recommend this experience. You will have the best 2 hours. The team explained everything so well and we left with a plethora of information.
