Experience the breathtaking beauty of Hardanger on this unforgettable day trip along the stunning Hardangerfjord.
Admire the 3 big waterfalls - Mørkholsfossen, Fossen Bratte and Steinsdalsfossen.
Our first stop is at Mørkholsfossen, here ou are able to get realy close to the waterfall, it's almost like a hidden lagoon. Just 5 min from here, we visit Fossen Bratte with it's 80 meter drop and rich history.
In Øystese we will visit a apple farm and taste what is referred to as "The world's best apple cake" when the owners will give us a good insight into running an orchard in Hardanger.
Steinsdalsfossen is one of Norway's most popular waterfalls. With a height of 50 metres, the waterfall is particularly famous for the path that runs behind the waterfall, so that visitors can walk dry-shod and experience the waterfall's power up close.

Our first stop will be at the beautifull waterfall ''Mørkholsfossen''. The surrounding area is ideal for short hikes and nature walks. A scenic path along the river leads you to the best viewpoint, where the waterfall reveals its full beauty. The sound of rushing water dominates the atmosphere, creating a calming backdrop for picnics, photography, or simply soaking in the tranquility.
Fossen Bratte
Just 5 minutes drive from our first waterfall, we stop at Fossen Bratte, one of the most dramatic waterfalls along the route, often called “The Bride’s Veil” because of its elegant white spray – is known for its impressive 80-meter drop and the powerful roar that echoes through the valley. Today, the road passes through a tunnel behind the waterfall, but after parking, we can follow the old road to reach the top of the fall. You can also choose to go the opposite way - down to the bottom of this mighty cascade, where you can truly feel the strength of the water. Your guide is always with you, helping you find your way, take the best photos, and enjoy the best possible experience. Today we drive in a tunnel behind the waterfall, but when we park we can use the old road to get right up to the top of the waterfall. Long bus ride. Guide very talkstive. Beautiful countryside and great weather. Don’t buy this excursion through your cruise. Much less expensive to buy it through Visturs.

A gorgeous drive around the fjord area. We did drive past the advertised photo of an island with red houses, but no opportunity to take a photo - though other photo stops were provided. The guide was delightful with cultural topics, history and trivia. Loved it. The apple farm was charming. To add on to your Norway experience, or as a scouting trip for a future visit, this tour was great.

It’s only essential points like 2 waterfalls and visit at the apple farm . It should be more stops even for a few minutes and while trip would be more interesting.

Highly recommend this bus tour around Hardange Fjord. Jahn and Anita are fabulous. Scenery was amazing and we got bonus i formation about the history and traditions of the area, as well as current global connections and economic and ethical leadership. Lots of humorous mementos, as well. It is wonderfully timed with a break from the bus about every hour to see Waterfalls and stop to visit an apple farm where we not only learned about apples, juice and ciders (they have a gold medal for their cider), we were served a glass of their refreshing apple juice and a slice of the most delicious apple pie from the chef, himself. Lovely day trip!!

The sights were great! The Waterfalls and the beautiful scenery were wonderful. The orchard experience was less than expected but the apple pie was to die for. Our tour guide was another story. Meme, was more interested in talking about the alcohol consumption and sex life of the Norwegian young people and discussing her own relationship than anything else. We were really disappointed in her tour guide abilities. She should remember who her audience is.

We had a wonderful time on this tour! I'd visited Bergen before, so this time I wanted to get out of the city and see more of Norway's beautiful nature. This trip certainly did that - I couldn't take my eyes off the scenery, even during the longer drives! Mimi was a great guide, and I came away feeling like I'd genuinely learned a lot about Hardanger and Norway. Thanks also to Rune for driving us around safely, even in the tricky narrow roads! My personal highlight was Steindalsfossen, though really it was just lovely to see and learn so much about the area. The apple pie was also delicious - absolutely the best I've ever had! All in all, I highly recommend Travel North and this tour. I appreciated the WhatsApp message a couple of days before the tour with a reminder of all the important information, and the whole experience was very easy and enjoyable. Thanks Mimi and Rune!

WORST TOUR, WORST GUIDE EVER! The guide, Mimi, spoke non-stop for 7 hours, and if I had a krona for every time she said, “you know”, “okay”, “um” or “uh”, I could have paid for everyone’s ticket. She never took a breath and allowed the passengers to talk among themselves or just be quiet. I have never enjoyed a trip less. Mimi’s inane banter was so bad that all I could think about was getting off this tour and having a double aquavit or tequila. She spent 20 minutes on 3 separate occasions talking about the perils and pitfalls of dating a Norwegian as if she were talking to a bus full of debutants. We were supposed to visit an apple orchard and I thought learn something about Hardvanger apples, but we visited a cafe where we had apple juice, apple pie and coffee for maybe 30 minutes and this was after a 3 hour bus ride. The cafe people gave a 5 or maybe 10 minute talk about apples while standing and without benefit of microphone. There was not much to see of the fjord from the road. Most of it was blocked by trees. There was one stop in the beginning that allowed a view OVER the fjord, and a bathroom stop that had 2 toilets for a bus load of maybe 60 people. There was one stop to see pre-historic rock etchings that were of a moose, deer and a man, but literally impossible to see them. Steep, small gravel path to get down to see them. The waterfall stops were at maximum about 20 minutes each and coupled with 2 toilets for a bus load of folks. No time to shop for a snack or souvenirs. Oh, and there crying babies and crying toddlers on board. Not just an occasional cry, but full throttle screaming. Last, but not least, the tour started late and ended late thereby interfering with our evening plans. This is my last time to use Viator. My

Very good excursion. Would have preferred more time at the prehistoric inscribed stones and perhaps at the 2nd waterfall. It was a struggle to get back uphill to the coach on time (aged over 70). Could perhaps cut some time from the stay for apple cake. That was excellent, but didn't need so long there.
