Please note that access to the Terraces requires climbing 150 steps (no lift) through narrow passages. The height of the Terraces is 30 meters (98 feet).
Sandals, shoes with heels and flip-flops, slippers, and clogs, as well as shorts or skirts above the knees are not allowed inside the Cathedral. Please bring a scarf to cover up before entering.
Children under the age of 7 are not allowed on the Duomo Terraces for safety reasons. Youth ages 7-18 must be accompanied by an adult to climb the Terraces.
The Baptistery is currently undergoing restoration of the vault's mosaics.
Please note that backpacks of any size, as well as luggage or large bags, are not allowed.
Clients must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
It is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.
Tips/gratuities (for your guide) are always appreciated.
This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, those with heart conditions, dizziness, or claustrophobia, as well as individuals with mobility impairments or wheelchair users.

5.00We were so glad we took a tour and didn’t just go see it ourselves. Our guide, Jade, was great. Friendly and informative. We learned history, skipped the lines, had amazing private views, and our ticket let us also climb the bell tower the next day. Well worth it.

5.00A phenomenal tour that took us to the terraces where many other tour groups do not go. You can climb the bell tower on your own time - your ticket does include access to this but not to climb the dome. We got to see the museum and the baptistery (though this was mostly under renovation). Our guide was wonderful and informative. Would definitely recommend!

5.00The tour of the museum, the baptistry, the inside of the Duomo and the terrace was perfect. Im afraid of heights, so I didnt want to climb the cupola. The terrace was high too, but I did it. My husband also climbed the bell tower. The tour was a great value.

The best part was the duomo terrace! What a hidden gem... I would recommend over climbing the duomo and the bell tower. Less work and similar pay off! Would totally recommend

5.00Highly recommended couldn't fault. Need to be relatively able to climb the stairs to the terrace. There is no real resting point, and the air is quite warm, and it feels a little claustrophobic as you climb. Well worth the effort though. Coming down is fine.
