Piazza della Signoria
Begin your foodie adventure in Piazza della Signoria, one of the best piazzas in Florence. Widely known as an outdoor art gallery, Piazza della Signoria is home to many sculptures and art vendors. Here, you will be able to spot Palazzo Vecchio, a beautiful palace dating back to the time of the Medici family. You can also spot a copy of Michelangelo’s David here. Your guide will introduce you to the Florence foodie scene, and off you go.
Start your Tuscan Food Venture in the right way, following ancient Renaissance tradition we start the night with some liquid courage and a quick snack at Florence’s famous ‘’wine window’, known as Buchetta del vino. Originally created to avoid taxes on taverns by selling directly to the public, this ancient hack was frequented by masters like Michelangelo himself!

It was a lovely experience tasting various specialties, plus the wines. Our guide, Francesco, was so knowledgeable and gave us information about the foods and region we found really interesting. We found ourselves talking about it the next day.

Great evening! Well worth the money. Marco was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable about local history, food and wine. Good relaxed pace didn’t feel under pressure to move quicker as some of our group were older and not so fast.

We had an amazing time on this tour. The foods, wines, and company between the group and the tour guide made for a very fun and delicious evening. I believe our guide was named Ilari - she was very nice, informative, and fun.
