Piazzale Michelangelo
It can be reached by walking about 200 meters. One of the most beloved stops on the tour is Piazzale Michelangelo, Florence’s most famous panoramic viewpoint. From here, you can admire a breathtaking view of the entire city: the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Arno River all unfold before your eyes in an unforgettable scene. It’s the perfect moment to take postcard-worthy photos and enjoy a moment of relaxation. The driver will share interesting facts about the square, its 19th-century architecture, and the iconic bronze replica of Michelangelo’s David that stands proudly on the terrace.
INAF Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory
From the highest point of the route, a charming panorama unfolds before us: the gentle hills of Arcetri, dotted with cypress trees, historic villas, and vineyards. Among them stands out the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory, one of the symbolic places of Italian science, built near the house where Galileo Galilei spent the final years of his life.
