The guide was super nice but there was a clear language barrier and often time the little information given was not easy to understand. Also, group was way too big.

It is a very long day, but very informative. Maria was a great tour guide and set expectations early for the group. I recommend the tour for first timers.

Utter chaos! We booked the Toledo Segovia tour, with a 7:45am pickup 10/6/25. The bus was on time and in the pickup location (which was hard to find due to construction) among other buses from the same amigo tour company. In fact, one of the other buses was going to Toledo and Segovia In addition to Avila When we looked at the reviews initially we decided against Avila and specifically just the English tour that just went to Segovia and Toledo. Well that seemed to be a huge problem. Apparently they were not well equipped to handle English and Spanish speakers on the tour. They kept moving us and forth between both buses. They eventually landed in pulling Alex who was our tour guide (and the only reason we gave the tour at 3 stars) which was on the tour bus going to Avila intially to come over to our tour to accommodate the 8-10 passengers that were English speakers. Alex was very knowledgeable and cared about history. After the hassle and chaos, we went to Toledo. It was a very quick visit with a quick stop to take pictures of scenery and 25 minute time window to use the restroom and grab breakfast. We walked quickly through the city saw the cathedral and went to a demonstration to see how they make swords and use the demasquino technique. Honestly it was just some guy hammering hot metal for 5 minutes and then showing a finished sword. They spent more time for us to purchase items in their store instead. We then went to Segovia where we had more Time to explore and grab lunch. We only were allowed 30 Minutes to go into the alcazar so it felt rushed. We have done several tours in many countries and this one by far was the most disorganized and not well planned. If you’ve made it this far please reconsider doing your own trip to these gorgeous cities instead of going this route. Especially if you’re English speaking. I am bilingual and my wife only speaks English and the lady on the tour bus was not very welcoming to English speakers . The other two tour guides were professional and not an issue. Just overall do not recommend

The tour did not meet expectations in terms of organization and management. Upon arrival, our guide, "Gaby," was not present and arrived late. The itinerary included three bus rides—approximately 50 minutes, two hours, and one and a half hours in duration. During these trips, Gaby engaged in loud conversations with the bus driver, which appeared to distract him from safe driving and made it difficult for passengers to rest. This behavior seemed unprofessional and created an uncomfortable experience, as her voice was consistently audible throughout each trip. Additionally, although the tour was advertised as being conducted in English, much of the commentary on the bus was delivered in both Spanish and English.
