Great day of adventure and fun! Our guide Costa/Joaon (spelling?) was very informative, personable and funny. The day is long but packed with lots of things to see and experience - it passes quickly. The suspended bridge is definitely nerve wracking but provides a beautiful view of the hills, river, waterfalls and nature. The 3.5K walk back to the van is long, hilly, and, since it was raining, very slippery. If your ambulation is limited, you have the option of just crossing the bridge and driving back with the tour guide to pick up the others. Lunch was one of the highlights and we were able to experience some delicious traditional cuisine. We would have liked to spend more time at the beach town (Nova Costa?).

Does everyone have this much fun on this tour, or was I just blessed with the best guide and the best group? Joao was incredible—he seems to know everything about everything. He was hilarious, patient, and genuinely kind, even when we were lost, late, rowdy, demanding or a little crude. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour or time. Pro tip: Wear good shoes with good tread. The boardwalk is very slippery.

It was a great experience- if you like the outdoors and don’t have a car in Porto - this tour is for you! 8km of boardwalks along the the river after crisscrossing the 516 meter suspension bridge. I got over 7 miles of walking in because of the additional 2 afternoon stops. The lunch was excellent- wine- smoked sausage, olives and bread to start , roasted potatoes and cabbage. And to finish little cookies and coffee. Joao Henrique’s (j) Was informative and very pleasant- I’d highly recommend him and this tour

We had a great time in this tour. Thomas was our guide and driver, and he is excellent. He made sure everyone is having a good time. The trip was educational but not boring. The tour was great. If you're into fitness and like conquering your fear of heights, this tour is for you. The boardwalk pathways were very slippery, so wear comfortable shoes with non skid soles. The lunch was delicious as well.

Amazing day out, Dani (Ronaldo's better looking twin) was a fantastic host, very passionate about Portugal and knew a lot of stuff, pick up was seemless, lunch was amazing, small stop at Costa Nova was good, larger stop at Averio was really good with over 1 hour free time (Venice of Portugal) however the Bridge and Walkway was outstanding ! Way better than I imagined it would be !

We booked through "get your guide". And we were delighted with the day. Already, we're not by bus (which we expected) , we were by VIP car of 8 people , friendlier and classier. The Tomas guide was super nice. Lunch was local , simple , very good , tasty even . Paiva walkways are not tiring at all because Tomas came to pick us up at the end with the car. to see absolutely because it is worth it. Watch out for vertigo on the Aveiro suspension bridge.

We had an excellent time on the tour. It was a small tour group with a lot of enthusiasm and energy provided by Dani. The attractions were very interesting and the trip was well balanced between nature and culture.

My wife and I enjoyed our tour in October 2025. We were fortunate to have very pleasant weather. We met our tour guide, Dani, at 8:15. Six other travelers in our group, for a total of eight, plus Dani. We drove from Porto for about an hour, making a brief restroom stop in the town of Arouca before going to the suspension bridge. The last 20-30 minutes to the bridge twist and turn, so consider if you have motion sickness issues. We started across the bridge around 10AM. Wasn’t very crowded. We walked across one way, and then back again. The bridge was pretty cool. Nice view, but nothing spectacular. It felt stable and safe. A little bounce from others walking. After the bridge we walked along the Pavia Walkways for nearly an hour. They start right there at the bridge. No need to get in the van again. The walkways are nice, meandering along the river. Our route was all downhill, so not strenuous at all. The walkways can be very slippery when wet. The river side of the walkway has a railing, but the “cliff wall” side mostly does not. It IS possible to accidentally step off the walkway and fall between it and the cliff side, ending up under the walkway. It happens. Be careful. After the walkway, we drove back into Arouca for a pre-arranged lunch. The food was pretty good. After lunch we drove about an hour to a small town called Costa Nova. We only spent about 25 minutes there. It was pretty quiet when we were there. Could have skipped it in my opinion. Then we went to Aveiro. We had about 90 minutes there. You could either take a boat ride around the canals, or walk around the town. We decided to take a boat ride, which took most of our time there. I didn’t think much of the boat ride, but it was fine. It is NOT like taking a gondola in Venice. We learned a little about the area from the guide on the boat. After the boat ride, there wasn’t really enough time to explore the town. We headed home after Aveiro, arriving in Porto around 6:30. Overall a pretty good day. Dani was a fun guide. Young guy with a lot of enthusiasm who kept the conversation going.

This is a 'must do' when visiting Porto! Two couples (sisters and spouses) had so much fun hiking the walkway and crossing the suspension bridge. Our guide, Thomas, was fun and exceptional on all things Portugal!
