Our day in the Douro Valley with Bruno was absolute perfection. From the start, he guided us through a wine tasting and tour at Quinta de Foz, sharing his knowledge with warmth and enthusiasm. The highlight was an incredible four‑course lunch prepared by a private chef, paired with four outstanding wines, all enjoyed in the intimate setting of a private winery house. It felt like a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience. As if that wasn’t enough, the afternoon continued with an electric boat ride along the river — complete with more wine — offering breathtaking views and a sense of pure relaxation. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and Bruno made sure we felt completely pampered throughout the day. It was not just a tour, but a truly indulgent experience that we’ll never forget.
Even the thunder and lightning could not stop us having a fabulous time on this trip

Excellent day trip out in to the Douro, it was just the two of us and one other couple during first week of November, it was pelting down with rain with thunder and lightning all throughout the drive to the Douro, but miraculously the rain stopped just at the right time so we could take the boat trip, which was lovely. Stopped at two good quintas and learned a lot about wine, food and port and the area. Good value for money, great guides, good food, good wine, good port and good company.

We had an amazing day on the tour. Selection of wineries was great - both were high quality and the staff knowledgeable and passionate. Lunch was so much more than we expected and delicious. Boat tour was also special. The small group was key - 8 was a great number. And perhaps best part was our guide, who took the time to get to know all the guests and made every effort to make the trip memorable.

Our driver was fantastic! He was thoughtful and knowledgeable. Boat tour was great. The tour guide on the boat shared fun facts and made us a fantastic drink with yummy snacks. The two wineries showed us different parts of the wine making process which was very cool. Lunch was so delicious. Cannot recommend this tour enough! Views for days too!

We had the best time on this wine trip! Rita was our guide. She was absolutely lovely, very knowledgeable about the topic and extremely easy to talk to. She took us to gorgeous lookout points throughout the drive and the wineries we stopped in felt more intimate and unique than the bigger ones. The lunch was so absolutely delicious! May be the best Portuguese food I had on the whole trip! We also had perfect weather for our boat ride down through the Douro Valley! It was absolutely stunning! We would highly recommend this excursion! It’s a MUST if you’re visiting Porto!

Great exposure to the beauty and history of the Douro. Our guide Joao was very knowledgeable about the valley and winemaking. We experienced driving through the region, an hour on the river for a different perspective, and a great tasting to learn more about port and its history. Had a fabulous meal in a beautiful setting overlooking the changing colors of the valley as if we were locals. A great time even though it was a cold rainy day.

This was such an amazing day and ended up being one of our favorites after almost three weeks in Europe! The host (Carlos) was so kind, informative and friendly. Was such a great experience actually can’t recommend enough! We shipped a case home too!
