The trip was cancelled the day before. Apparently there weren’t enough people for the trip to be a go.

The bus arrived late so the trip started 10min late. Stewart Tours was the company. They compensated for the late start with free tickets on Lock Lomand cruises. This was a small group trip and so the experience was very personalised. The driver was the guide and he was very well versed in the history of all the places he took us. He took us a couple of extra places that wasn't in the trip. It was very very good. Will recommend booking Scotland tours with Stewards Tours.

As I said, I normally hate guided tours. Starting with that, this one was perfect. Small group so the normal issues that arise with mob mentality did not occur. It was just my wife, another couple, and our wonderful guide, Phil. I picked this tour because it seemed to have more time spent out of the coach and I was right. First we stopped at the Kelpies and I believe we spent just the right amount of time, around 30 minutes. On the way, Phil asked our preference to hear him talk and we were a group of history buffs so he filled the air with wonderful Scottish history. Our second stop was in a charming village right next to Loch Lomond and we were able to walk around for a solid 2 hours. This town is absolutely perfect and has some good food to boot. After we met back at the coach we were whisked off to Loch Lomond for a relaxing hour long boat ride. It was uneventful but the countryside is some of the best you will see. We then took a ride through the Trossachs National Forest stopping several times to take photos and to visit some fat hairy coos. My wife asked about a couple places we passed on the way back and Phil not only drove us back by but gave us enough time to make 2 additional stops not on the itinerary including Sterling Castle. I truly can’t say enough how enjoyable this trip was. Think this visit to the Highlands will be the highlight of this holiday. Please support this company and book Phil for your next tour. You will not be disappointed!
