Culloden Battlefield
A sad place to visit. It’s the location of a tragic Outlander scene, and a catastrophic battle between Jacobites and Government troops. It was here that a 60-year series of uprisings finally ended in a tumultuous battle. You can explore the visitor centre* and pay tribute to those who lost their lives at the last ever battle fought on British soil.

This was one of four Rabbie's day tours from Inverness. All of the guides are knowledgeable and good storytellers. The tours are a mix of narration and guidance, with enough time to explore on your own and have lunch. Like the other day tours, we had time for short hikes on our own. If you are older, this may not be a viable option. This tour took us to Clava Cairns, Culloden, Beauly (for lunch), and Glen Afric with some additional stops. Overall, a beautiful day!

Very nice experience! I particularly enjoyed the Clava cairns and the hikes in Glen Affric - very beautiful with the autumnal colours. The time spent in each spot was enough I believe. The group size was just right (14 people) and friendly. Thanks to our guide Nick for sharing his knowledge in History but also local fauna and flora in a funny and interesting way. That made the tour even more enjoyable.

If you’re lucky enough to have Scot as your guide, this is an excellent tour if you’re interested in both the beauty and history of the Highlands. We were blessed with excellent weather because a steady rain would have limited the ability to get out and about. While the pace of the journey never felt rushed, it does take a full 9 hours with a good bit of the time on the bus through extremely narrow roads. If you go, know that a larger-sized guest would find the bus seats very tight, and be sure to fully charge your devices before heading out.

Our country is small but full of gems. Excellent tour from Inversneckie. The rich history was fully explained and delivered by the guide and driver, Clare. She was also good enough to squeeze in Ploda Falls. Get yourselves a ticket.

This was a great 1 day trip. Our guide Scottie was very knowledgeable and you could tell he loves what he does, as well as sharing his knowledge. The trip to Clava Cairns and Culloden were quiet and reflective and the afternoon at Glen Affric was the perfect way to end the day. The afternoon was a bit more active than I imagined, but totally manageable.

Our trip with Rabbies Tours led by Camille was a bucket list item. We saw standing stones, a viaduct, Culloden, cows, and hiked the Highlands. We found ourselves entertained by local stories, history, and fun facts. We enjoyed the whole day
