Our cooking class will make the authentic Greek Moussaka dish and Spanakopita pie by opening your phyllo pastry (Spinach pie).
We will make two classic traditional pies: Spinach pie and Milk pie. In addition to making homemade pies, we will prepare Greek island-inspired salad with cherry tomatoes aromatized with aged local vinegar and Greek yogurt tzatziki sauce.
Our kitchen is a few steps from Monastiraki square in the funky neighborhood of Psirri. I'll wait for you there, on the rooftop terrace with Acropolis views.
We'll start preparations and chat to break the ice and talk about Greek and Mediterranean cuisine; then, I'll show you the ingredients we'll need.
Then the cooking class can begin!
When we are finished, we will cook, eat, and savor our food together with amazing views of the Acropolis monuments and Parthenon temple lit at night and the vivid center of Athens overlooking the dome of Aghios Dimitrios church.

Stamatis, our friendly chef, has put together a tasty menu and always gave us clear instructions on what to do next. He told interesting stories and explained the origin of some of the products used. Dinner on the roof terrace overlooking the illuminated Acropolis was just awesome!

Wow this was a super fun evening. Chef Stam clearly is passionate about Greek cooking and teaching his craft to us tourists. He was fantastic - engaging, knowledgeable, patient, entertaining. He made sure all of us had fun participating with prepping various parts of the meal; everyone in the class was engaged. And then of course we got to dine on what we created. What an outstanding evening!

***5/5 STARS*** Chef Spiros single-handedly provided the most memorable experience for my husband and I during our trip to Greece! Amazing food, amazing company, and an amazing night! Whether you cook regularly or are uncomfortable in the kitchen, Chef walks you through each recipe with ease while also explaining food science in a fun and engaging way. Spiros’ passion is tangible and he is an absolute joy to learn from; his perspective on cooking and genuine love of food was truly humbling. This is not your run-of-the-mill cooking class, this is TRUE immersion into Greek culture and Greek food. Do yourself a favor and book ASAP!!

We had an excellent time in our cooking class with chef Kostas (not sure if spelled correctly) and with our fun group! He was super knowledgeable, great at explaining all the steps, and funny and welcoming! This was a super fun way to meet some fellow travelers, learn to make local cuisine, and have a delicious meal with an incredible view at the rooftop restaurant.

We really had a wonderful experience making these delicious Greek items. The chef was very friendly and engaging, he was there every step on each item we made. Once everything was prepared, we sat down to a meal that we had created. Each person was able to enjoy the food that they personally made.
