Great tour! Alex is very knowledgeable and entertaining. He shared lots of info (he loves history), gave us enough time at each stop while keeping us on schedule. Although a long tour, it is definitely worth it to see so much history.

It’s a long day with spaced stops—not all of which have restrooms but most do. Our guide David had such a thick Scottish accent that a lot of his banter was lost on my ears. He had lots of info to share and did a good job of sorting Hollywood fact from fiction. He did seem bored with his task of hauling tourists around. It felt a bit like an act he put on to show what a cool guy he is. I did get what I wanted out of the trip which was to be at Hadrian’s Wall, at an archaeological dig and see the countryside. The Vindalana tour guide was great and you could tell she loved her work.

Andy was a brilliant guide. It was so lovely to have someone engaging with everyone on the bus and making the trip feel unique. Andy was very knowledgeable about the area and the site. The trip was great, the bus was comfortable and the time spent on the road was broken into manageable chunks of time.

My friend and I decided to do the group tour to Hadrian's Wall with Rabbies during our stay in Edinburgh. My first impression of Jim Scott was a joke about a water bottle I brought. Fine. I can take a joke. But making fun of me for having a water bottle was the first of a few bad jokes that would happen during the trip. Jim likes to talk about himself a lot, including peddling his side photography business. He talked about it quite a lot. He also cowed the group quite a lot, treating the lot like children during the tour. He didn't tell us we couldn't have hot food on the first stop, so when I had just got my breakfast sandwich, he informed us after the fact. So I didn't end up eating it trying to be respectful... He made pointed comments about the US president as well during some of his other jokes. I don't care for our current president, but I don't find it an appropriate joke given that over half of the bus (probably about 80% of the bus) were from the US and he doesn't know their stance. When asked questions about Scotland, he was not always a good sport. At one point he made a comment to my friend Emily that only people from the US ask if they could ask a question. And when she did ask the question, he retorted with: "when did your voice stop being adorable?" When she made a joke later that was linear with a joke he made, he said: "You're not as funny as you think you are. You need to shut the hell up." Unfortunately, it really overshadowed the trip. Overall, I am a pretty big history person. I didn't always know what was a joke/fiction and what was nonfiction. I wouldn't recommend this vendor for tours after the comments that were made.
