What To Expect
Spend a day in the countryside, hiking and exploring the National Park of Mount Parnitha (1.413 m), which is the highest and most beautiful of Attica. After a private pick-up from your hotel or other accommodation, with an executive sedan or minivan, head out for Parnitha and Flambouri refuge, to start this 2-4 hour incredible hiking trip. The route can be fully customized for beginners or advanced hikers, making it also ideal for families. The hike route begins from Flambouri Refugee and most of it, is in the dense fir forest, which is the inhabitant for over 130 bird species and 40 mammals. You will have the opportunity to observe the red deer and enjoy crystal clear water from over 45 springs. Mount Parnitha is the closest mountain to Athens, and the only National Park in Europe so close to a capital (40km). Explore the National Park and enjoy time out surrounded by the beauty of nature. After your hike, you can relax with a cap of mountain tea, try the famous "φασολάδα" (bean soup) or have a traditional Greek lunch, as this genuine outdoor adventure comes to an end.

5.00Such an amazing experience. We got driven up the mountain- incredible views and drive. And then we did a guided hike. We are not experienced hikers and the guides adjusted to the audience so well. The knowledge, the tidbits, the fun facts, they pointed out so many plants and trees and told us about the animals and bird calls and paced the entire experience based on what we could really enjoy. I highly recommend them to anyone who loves nature and hiking and Greece!

5.00Harry is a very good driver taking us from city center to the top of the mountain. Pointed out several interesting sites along the way. George was an amazing guide. We all enjoyed the Hike. Overall was a great day. Highly recommend.

5.00Someone picked us up from our AirBnB and drove us in their car up to the top of the mountain where we met two guides. The driver actually went on the hike with us, and she was very conversationalist and informative on the drive to and from the mountain. It was just us 4 young adults (about 30 years old) and the guides the whole time, it was amazing. We basically had the mountain to ourselves. For my sister and husband the hike was pretty easy because they exercise regularly. But for me and my partner it was a little more challenging in some parts because we do not exercise but are still healthy enough. The trail was a great mixture of challenging vertical stretches and leisurely flatter areas. I loved it. The weather was warm (85F) but there was plenty of shade. The guides were informative and spoke English very well. They allowed us to take breaks as often as we needed and we had a snack break at the summit with an amazing view. I definitely recommend this hike for healthy people of various abilities. However it is not for people with bad ankles, balance, lung/heart issues. Although, they do have a range of ability trails that you can communicate with the guides.

5.00A perfect activity if you love to walk in the great outdoors. We were picked up by a lovely gentlemen who took us to the beginning of the hike. Our guide then took us into the mountain to let us enjoy the walk at our desired pace. After enjoying the breathtaking views, we were taken back to our chosen location within Athens.

We asked for an intermediate hike and got everything we wanted! We have been traveling for over 20 days and this experience was one of our favorites. Thank you to all involved!

5.00Everything was spectacular! Our driver Giannis was so kind, thoughtful, and informative. He even brought us gifts from his farm in Kalamata, truly sweet! Penelope was so fun, flexible, amazing, just a wonderful woman of all trades! Nothing could have been a better and we would recommend this to anyone-when they say the hike can be tailored to all abilities, Penelope went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy.
