Short-notice cancelation and no refund

1.00DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY – they cancelled the tour at short notice and money was never refunded. NO RESERVE CON ESTA AGENCIA – cancelaron el tour con poca antelación y nunca se reembolsó el dinero. ------------ End of October 2025 I booked a full day tour to the Salpeter mines near Iquique with Altos del Norte. I was writing with an employee over WhatsApp about the details and paid via the link they provided. Only the evening before the tour they cancelled it due to too few people. This was already unfortunate, as they never told me about this risk and we only had one full day in Iquique to do this tour. The biggest problem, however, is that Altos del Norte never refunded the money for the tour. I wrote them several times via WhatsApp and also via E-Mail. In the beginning they promised that I would get a 100% refund soon, but this never happened. After two weeks they just did not react to any messages or e-mails anymore. Now, 1.5 months later, I still do not have my money back. Highly advice against booking with this unprofessional and fraudulent agency! ------------ A finales de octubre de 2025, reservé una excursión de un día completo a las minas de salpetro cerca de Iquique con Altos del Norte. Escribí por WhatsApp a un empleado para comentarle los detalles y pagué a través del enlace que me facilitaron. Justo la noche anterior a la excursión, la cancelaron por falta de gente. Esto ya fue una lástima, ya que nunca me informaron sobre este riesgo y solo teníamos un día completo en Iquique para hacer la excursión. El mayor problema, sin embargo, fue que Altos del Norte nunca me reembolsó el dinero. Les escribí varias veces por WhatsApp y también por correo electrónico. Al principio me prometieron un reembolso del 100% pronto, pero nunca lo hicieron. Después de dos semanas, ya no respondieron a mis mensajes ni correos electrónicos. Ahora, un mes y medio después, sigo sin recibir mi dinero. ¡Les recomiendo encarecidamente que no reserven con esta agencia poco profesional y fraudulenta!

5.00I’m going to lack characters to tell how glad I am to have crossed paths with Chilean Way. I am Chilean but I live abroad and from the beginning it was a problem to be able to contact the agencies. I had many questions; I was looking for a tour with a pampino guide and ideally more personalized, which made it difficult to coordinate from the outside. However, a friend of my sister recommended me to visit Baquedano and I arrived at Chilean Way. That's where I connected with Derscy, who very patiently waited for me after 7 p.m., when I arrived at my hotel. He answered all my questions, he solved everything so that my trip was what I was looking for and above all -something little valued in this area- is that it was very close and that inspired me a lot of confidence, that everything was going to be okay. Also, it connected me with other activities and its availability and diligence were a 10/10! As for the tour, Don Polo, tome and loin pampino, soaked us with the history of his land and personally, made me feel like I was doing the tour with a friend, with a trusted person. Same from your driver, who gave everything on the road even when there were cleats, accidents and closures along the way, solving! The group likewise, very nice people, all very nice and I just had a great time. I met my goal of getting where I needed to go and the best thing is that I managed to connect with the history of my family, where one of the most outstanding, our beloved Bistío Pedro Caimanque Araos, stood out in the Museum of the Saltire as one of the most important workers in Chile. I leave happy, to return and to recommend in closed eyes. Keep it up with the good work, Chilean Way! ❤️☝🏼🇨🇱
