5.00As someone who grew up in Inverness long ago, when it was still a solid old-fashioned town, I was shocked at how hard it is now to sense either charm or history in its streets. This was why I chose to go on a guided walk, in the hopes of retrieving some sort of heart to it. The early evening walk with Steve was just what I needed--someone who recognised the damage done over the decades but was able to communicate a genuine love of the place, its history, its bridges, and the stories behind its buildings. I saw so many details that I had barely registered when living there in my teens, and learnt a great deal about its recent history. I left feeling passionate about how much more there still is to the place than the Loch Ness Monster! Thank you, Steve.
