Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was well organized, and went without issues. We especially enjoyed the commentary by our tour guide Sara. Lots of history about what we were seeing, and local insight on the areas we visited.

The trip was just average. Our tour guide Nastasia was awful. Her English was very poor, both in pronunciation and in her knowledge of English vocabulary. She consistently used the wrong words, trying Italian cognates, and stumbled over what she was trying to say. She also didn’t have her spiel learned. She had stacks of papers with scripts in English which she couldn’t read very well. When we were on the boat on Lake Como, one of the men from the boat told her in Italian about the homes we passed and she tried to repeat it in English but she often got it wrong and often didn’t care. I know enough Italian to be able to follow. Due to high wind, we couldn’t go to Bellagio so we stopped at a different village for lunch and then drive to Lugano where we stopped for 3 hours. To be honest, there was a cute little Christmas village in Lugano but there wasn’t really enough to do for 3 hours. It was an okay day trip but nothing spectacular.

We were blessed with great weather today and our guide Marieka was great and provided some great tips for the rest of our stay in Milan. It was a long trip but well worth it, highly recommended!!!

I’ve been wanting to visit Bellagio for awhile as my boyfriends family lives in Milan. But we only visit during the summer months, so I took a last minute trip by myself to see the family and decided now would be a good time to visit Bellagio, during the off season. The town is very cute, really easy to get around, perfect for a day trip during the off season. But if you’re planning to visit during the spring-summer months, you might need more time there than just a couple hours. It all depends on what you’re wanting to see. Had some of the best pasta also at La Dolce Vita, small little restaurant up one of the alley ways of stairs. Also visited Lugano, Switzerland and I’d definitely go back there and stay a few days. I went to Milan for the Christmas markets and I was pleasantly surprised to see the Christmas market in Lugano also!
