We got there about 45 minutes before sunset and the place looked amazing! First you will go to the village on the other side of the river where you will meet your guide. Then you will have to cross the river, there is no bridge so you will need to jump on the sandbags which is fun but might be difficult to do for eldery people. Then you will enter the kasbah and the guide will tell you the story. After getting close to the top, you will probably meet a Berber man who will show you how they paint pictures with invisible paint. After that you are free to go to the top and admire the views. After getting back to the village there will be an opportunity for some shopping. The goods are less expensive than in Marrakech. I'm really glad that we went there and I would gladly go there again. Very cool experience!

Definitely a must see place if you are planning to visit Morocco. We visited Ait Ben Haddou together with the city of Ouarzazate on our trip over High Atlas mountains. The scenery is simply breath taking.

Incredible site. A must see in Morocco. Very well preserved with awesome views. Many movies were made here. UNESCO has really helped bring this historic place to life.

Must see, and if you can do it with a local guide, all the better. Wonderful historical site. Be prepared to do some climbing up steps.

It's quite the spectacle - Ait-Ben Haddon - and one that is viewed and experienced from varying distances. You will go 'in it' and 'up it' of course - and it is worth it - but for us, the best bit was seeing it; from several angles and viewpoints. Highly recommend a meal in one of the restaurants that overlook it from an elevated position. It was wonderful to sit and stare at it over lunch and a drink.

Loved our visit here and wandering through the laneways making our way up to the very tope for fantastic views. This has been the site where many epic films have been set and you can see why. Wished we had stayed here overnight and had more time to explore.

We visited the Ksar as a part of a 4 day tour and found the visit very interesting. We had a guide who walked us through and explained what everything meant which was very interesting and informative. I don’t think we would have gotten so much out of it without the guide. Also this visit requires you to walk up many steps so be prepared and wear appropriate shoes!

Did an overnight stay in town. We went for a walk from our hotel to ksar ait ben haddou. Beautiful landscape, perfect weather. Stunning setting in the backdrop. Very clean, well maintained and the local people are very friendly. I loved walking around, just sitting and looking at the scenery from the high point.
