What To Expect
Reykjavik
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from select locations in Reykjavík. From Iceland’s vibrant capital, you’ll journey along the scenic South Coast, home to some of the country’s most breathtaking natural wonders. As you travel, enjoy views of charming villages and dramatic landscapes carved by glaciers and volcanoes. The route takes you to the picturesque town of Vík, where the final guests join the group before continuing east toward your glacier and ice cave experience.
Skogafoss
Skógafoss is one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, cascading 60 meters (197 feet) down a towering cliff into a mist-filled pool below. Its raw power and stunning surroundings make it a must-see destination for photographers and nature enthusiasts. On sunny days, vibrant rainbows frequently appear in the spray, creating a magical and unforgettable experience.

3.00We would have given a 5 star review except for the fact that our small group included an elderly woman who could barely walk up and down inclines and stairs. She even had much difficulty getting into the Super Jeep. She not only slowed the entire group tremendously (and groups behind us) but I was very nervous that she would slip and fall into the rest of us. The tour company needs to do a better job either describing the minimum physical requirements (such as ability to climb stairs) or provide a less difficult, perhaps slower group for such customers. With that said, our tour guide was excellent. He was very informative and entertaining (and very patient). We would highly recommend the tour but offer the above comments for the company.

5.00This tour was amazing! Hiking an ice glacier and exploring an ice cave are once in a lifetime experiences! This tour was the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide was friendly informative and made everything a great time. Though one of the groups was late and put us behind schedule and so we had to rush through the second half of the south coast water falls tours.

5.00We took the Katla Ice Cave & South Coast Day Tour from Reykjavik with Arctic Adventures, and the experience was outstanding—largely thanks to our amazing guide and driver, Nils. The day started with a smooth and well-organized pickup from the BSI Bus Terminal, which immediately set the tone for a stress-free trip. From the moment we boarded the bus, Nils made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. He shared lots of interesting information about Iceland, its landscapes, and the South Coast during the drive, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations. What truly set Nils apart was his personality. His funny jokes kept the whole group laughing, and his music playlist was perfectly chosen, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere throughout the long drive. He was incredibly professional and drove very safely, which made everyone feel at ease in changing road and weather conditions. Nils was also extremely caring and attentive to all participants. He regularly checked in to make sure everyone was doing well, clearly explained schedules and stops, and was always patient and helpful. He took time to assist with photos and ensured no one felt rushed or left out at any point. You could really tell that Nils genuinely cares about his guests and takes pride in delivering a great experience. The tour was very well-paced, well-organized, and enjoyable from start to finish. 5.00This was an AMAZING tour. The most beautiful places I've ever seen. We had plenty of time at each stop to get food or use the bathroom and they made sure to be very clear on what we should do and how much time we had. Once we got to Katla Ice cave, we had plenty of time to take pictures, and we even got to drink some water that was flowing through the glacier. Overall this was one of the best tours I've taken in Iceland.

5.00This is utterly fantastic at the ice cave. You want to be in Helgi’s group as he is a true Viking! If you are doing this trip in winter, just be aware that it will be dark when you visit the waterfalls (because of the short hours of the day). I loved it thoroughly and it is the most breathtaking landscape on the glacier. This trip is ok if you are of average fitness. The climb up the glacier isn’t that bad. I didn’t need poles and Helgi stopped often for the group to catch up.

5.00It was a spectacular day once we got on the bus and headed to the first waterfall. The weather was perfect and the sites were bucket list topping. Each one fulfilling life long adventures. Not only were the ice caves beautiful and the climb heart pounding, the ride to and from the site was an adventure of its own. To top it off at the final waterfall the sky filled with the northern lights making the waterfalls picturesque with the reds and greens haunting the sky.
