We had a truly beautiful and authentic experience at the kimono tea ceremony in Kyoto. It was a small group, just myself, my partner, and one other couple which made it feel really personal. We were able to choose our own kimonos, and the ladies there styled our hair as well, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The tea ceremony itself was led by a lovely local host who was warm and welcoming. After the ceremony, we enjoyed the tea together and took some gorgeous photos. There was also the option to wear the kimono for the rest of the day and return it later, but since it was quite hot that day, we decided not to. Overall, it was such a peaceful and memorable activity something I’d definitely recommend doing while in Kyoto!

Very nice experience. We were dressed in kimono by a very nice young man who also took some photos of me with the Katana. Traditional Samurai clothes and sword. The tea ceremony was nice. Mixing some matcha tea while the host explained the tradition. Would recommend if you want a nice short experience.
