We had an exceptional tour with Ichiro from Kobe to Kyoto! My only request was to ride the Shinkansen, and the rest of the itinerary was planned by our guide. The thousand Torii gates, Buddhist statues, and Golden Pavilion were all uniquely memorable. Having a personal guide made it much easier to navigate the crowds and understand the significance of the sights. With so much to see one day is really not enough, but we made the most of it.

What an informative tour by Kaori! She was great at explaining so much of Kyoto’s history and even catering the tour to what we preferred to see. Must do the bullet train if you can swing it! We loved our sweet homemade gesture she gave to us at the end of the tour too. Thanks again!

Wonderful full day tour! Our guide, Kiora, met us at the port and provided a seamless amazing day. We visited all of the sites that I had on my “to do “ list-golden Pavilion, Gion District- and two additional temples. Kiora was knowledgeable and prepared with many illustrations of the history and significance of the sites. We HIGHLY recommend this tour- and Kiora! Well worth the $ spent.

Keiko was an absolutely amazing tour guide for Kyoto. She personalized our tour to our requests and was very organized & accommodating. She picked us up at the Osaka port. We took the subway and Shinkansen to Kyoto as we wanted to experience riding the Shinkansen from Osaka to Kyoto which took 13 minutes! We visited the Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nijo Castle and Gardens (a must see), Gion, and Kinkakujicho Golden Pavilion (a must see too). We traveled via taxi in Kyoto to maximize time. Keiko also took us to a great Ramen restaurant near the Gion district for lunch. Then we went back to Osaka via the train. We wanted to buy handmade Japanese knives and Keiko took us to a great local knife store in Namba district of Osaka and she also found us a wonderful Sushi restaurant in Osaka for dinner and dropped us off there. The dinner recommendation was fabulous and a gem of a restaurant for sushi and sashimi. Overall our tour with Keiko was fabulous and she was an incredible tour guide. One thing to note, the customer pays for the public transportation costs including the subway, Shinkansen, and taxis but we knew this and was more than happy to do so to make the tour the most efficient and the most cost effective. This was the best tour we have had so far in Japan and Keiko made it so. Don’t hesitate at all to book this tour and ask for Keiko!
