From the moment the tour starts, it is truly crazy, yet informative and fun. It was a great insight into a bygone era.

Absolutely one of the best experiences we had in Poland. Can't begin to describe how awesome our guide Cornelia was. We took the longer experience with street food and it was all you want in a tour- informative, great food, casual environment, history, fun, relaxed- all wrapped up into one package. All the guides speak excellent English, the owner Mike is super helpful and responsive, we tried local foods and excellent sausage. This is a special experience often missed by tourists- I would highly recommend CrazyGuides and a visit to the Nowa Huta

Very good trip with friendly knowledgeable guide. An interesting look back at Krakow as a communist city. The scale of the project and the numbers of people involved in Nowa Huta was quite something. The Trabby added to the day, well worth it.

This travel is so much more than sightseeing! It's driving back into another time with the Trabant, visiting shops, restaurants with their preserved smells and interiors, the gigantic steel factory. About societal visions of a workers city planned and materialized within only 6 years, its operation, economical and political showdown, reinvention. Shaping the life of so many people back then and maybe even still now... Fantastic experience. Keep on going!

Crazy Guides in Krakow was far and away the coolest thing we did on our vacation, and it was the single best tour we've ever done. We did a private tour. Our guide, Tomas, showed up hawking VHS tapes and necklaces at our hotel. How he knew we were the tour group, I have no idea. It took me a minute to be certain he must be our tour guide. It was fabulous. We then took off in a vintage Lada to Nowa Huta to see the old steel plant and the planned communist community where all the workers lived (and where people live today). The whole experience was amazing. We learned a ton about Poland under communism, Poland's transition from communism, and Poland today. We ate really good food. We drank vodka. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It is a must the next time you are in Krakow. It's worth visiting Krakow just to do this tour.

The tour in a “flaming” Trabant was very interesting and very fun. The very good and very nice Maciek made us take a dip in the past from the post-war to the 90s, giving us a lot of information and telling many anecdotes and stories even familiar, with real passion and always ready to answer our questions in burst. If you love contemporary history and love to have fun, the tour is a must. Even our 16-year-old son enjoyed shooting on a “back in the future” type of car. Book directly through their website by filling out the form respond immediately and costs less than agencies. The tour is in English.

If you are interested in how life was in communist Poland this is the tour for you! We loved this tour on really enjoyed learning about the community Nowa Huta. Our guide was amazing and made our tour extremely enjoyable! We were picked up in one of the few cars allowed in communist times. We then were driven out to a community where a factory was built and many people were encouraged to move there. Along the way we learned a lot about communist Krakow. I highly recommend booking this tour. You won’t regret it!

This tour is the only way Nowa Huta. We had a great day out with the bonus of learning a ton about Nowa Huta. A big thank you to Crazy Mike for granting our request for the Tribant. My husband was like a kid at Christmas when it pulled up at our hotel.
