Great tours! I did the 9am tour which featured a guided city tour before the Galleria d'Academia at 10:30. There you have 30 min with the guide and then walk around yourself up until you meet back at the meeting point (Uffizi Gallery) at 12:30. Then you get 1.5 hr your there with another guide. I had Claudia and then Paulina as guides. Both were excellent!! Highly recommend. I think the timing of each tour was also perfect.

Becsuse the review requires a single response to two short tours that are back to back after a break I can only give 3 stars. This however masks that I would give the morning tour 5 and afternoon 2 stars. In the morning Patricia was wonderful, informative… a well paced tour of Florence highlights and a look at David in the Accademia. Afternoon st Ufizzi was marred by long wait. Not sure what skip the line refers to here as we stood in line for 40 minutes. End result was 60 minutes in the Uffizi, 15 minutes waiting for the tour to start after check in and 45 minutes to get to the actual tour to start

We were very excited about going on our VIATOR Michelangelo David, Academia and Uffizi small group tour. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Our tour guide said things all throughout the tour that were quite inappropriate and sometimes offensive. There was a child that was obviously autistic and was screaming and she went over to the child and told the mom to get the child some ice cream, which upset the mom and also upset those of us that understood that he might be autistic. Sadly she talked about him a lot more throughout the tour saying how bad he was and ice cream would fix it. She even told a different couple by the Statue of David how their child was good and how our group had seen a child earlier that was really bad. It was extremely inappropriate and awkward. It was uncomfortable for all of the people in the tour and completely unnecessary to talk that way. There was an Indian couple in our group, and when the Indian woman asked a very legitimate question about one statue, our tour guide spoke very derogatory to her and went on and on about how she doesn’t have time to explain everything. Then there was an Asian couple getting married and she said how she can’t tell if they’re from China or another Asian country because “they all look alike”. They were many other things that were inappropriate, and all of it really ruined the tour for us. We wanted to learn the history and she talked a lot about things that didn’t have anything to do with the history. She made a comment about Michelangelo’s David as being “the kind of man she would like”. It just ruined the feel of the historical aspect of the tour that we were looking for, and many others in the tour spoke about it afterwards and how much they did not like what she said. We don’t think she should be doing these tours at all. She was not funny, but boring and offensive.
