Inside the Cathedral, off-the-shoulder and / or low-cut dresses, shorts, miniskirts, and hats are prohibited. if necessary, please note that at Ticket Office 1 - Sala delle Colonne (Piazza Duomo 14 / A) it is always possible to purchase appropriate disposable Kimonos.
It is extremely recommended to wear comfortable shoes. During hot days it is recommended to wear a sun hat.
Due to increased security measures at the Duomo some lines may form. Additionally, strict rules apply to enter the church (no knives, no scissors, no glass bottles, etc.)
The elevator has a maximum capacity of 7 people, so you may encounter a line to get to the roof

Basic tour - not for anyone with mobility issues

2.00The tour was just ok. Covered the main points at a high level. The sound on the headsets made it a bit hard to understand what the guide was saying. There were several who had mobility issues and couldn’t climb steps. This issue was not mentioned on the tour description. The solution was to send those people all the way back to the beginning and meet in the church. It was very poorly organized. Several of us banded together snd figured it out but it wasn’t handled well at all. We were not able to go on the rooftop because of this and it wasn’t explained that we would miss the rooftop which was the main reason we paid more to book this tour. Not a good use of time or money.

5.00Easy meet up and entrance in. Guide was very knowledgeable. The walk up was comfortable and safe. Rooftop views breathtakingly beautiful with closeup touchable sculptures of this gothic gem. Highly recommend!

3.00Please be aware that part of the tour is to go up on the cathedral roof. It requires the ability to climb stairs and manage uneven walkways. Several members of our tour group needed assistance or accommodation. It held the tour up multiple times.
