Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)
Time: 8:00 - 8:30 Tian'anmen Square is the largest city square in the centre of Beijing, named after the Tiananmen (literally, Gate of Heavenly Peace) which sits to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several key events in Chinese history. As the world's largest city square and enduring symbol of China's national pride, it is surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Mao's Mausoleum.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
Time: 8:30 -10:30 The Forbidden City, in the very heart of Beijing, was home to 24 emperors during the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644–1911) dynasties. It is the largest and best preserved ancient imperial architectural complex in the world, featuring a great square, halls and gates, in contrast to intricate halls, gardens, courtyards and living quarters. The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are important treasures of ancient China. You will be walking for about 1.5-2 hours (2 kilometers). The walks in the Forbidden City are graded moderate.

5.00This tour was excellent! I wanted a tour that covered the Great Wall and Forbidden City and took care of all of the transportation and other details. This was it! Hotel pickup and dropoff, lunch arranged, tickets to all activities, and no trying to figure anything out. The guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable and answered all of our group's many questions. He also asked questions about food issues at lunch and carefully ordered for all of us, and lunch was amazing! The time at the Forbidden City and the Great Wall was perfect, allowing us to explore and take pictures, but not too long. I really can't recommend this tour enough!

5.00We loved this tour! It was a small group and we all had a wonderful day together. So great to see so many sights all in one day, especially if you have limited time in Beijing. Our driver was really amazing and the tour guide was fluent in English. The lunch was delicious too. 10/10. Definitely book this!

5.00the guide was great, explained a lot. Very small group (3 customers). Organisation worked perfect, pick-up at the hotel at 07:10, back at about 17:00 Great way to see the most important places within one day. The guide provided his knowledge and explained a lot when walking and in the car. Recommended.
