Learn how to cook an authentic Louisiana meal in this 3-Hour New Orleans cooking class. An expert chef will guide you and a group of, at most, 10 people through various recipes. Wine and beer are included in the price, and you can take your recipe and apron home with you after the class. Choose from multiple times and meals upon booking.

What To Expect

Cook & eat an authentic Louisiana meal! In this highly interactive class, our guests actually cut, season and prepare a complete dinner with an expert chef, and afterwards they are able to sit down and enjoy the meal they have just created. These small intimate classes have a maximum of 10 people utilizing 5 cooktops. Singles may be paired with another individual. Price includes red and white wine and Abita Amber Beer (a local brew) and you'll even take home your recipes and apron!

    What a fun class and great learning experience. My husband wanted to learn to make a roux and did just that. Austin and Mr Pappy were great instructors and quite entertaining. Would highly recommend this experience!

    A superior experience in every way. Cooking and cultural insights imparted in a very pleasant atmosphere. Chef Ricardo kept us engaged and safe especially regarding how to flambé without a trip to the ER. By far the best cooking class I have attended. I thought the price of the class was very reasonable and a good value considering instruction, unlimited wine, and the meal. Ingredients were good and we had all we could eat. I would do this class again if I was in the area. Other people in our class were locals and had attended before. You can be grouped with other people or you can buy your own table and make your own menu. Great party idea. Don’t hesitate to try this. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed.

    We did the hands-on class with Chef Rene to learn how to cook gumbo, BBQ shrimp and grits and bananas foster. Rene was terrific and we would definitely take another class with him. The group size was six people and everyone got a lot of attention and hands on help, ensuring our food turned out delicious. The facilities are beautiful with well-equipped kitchens, and the retail store had a nice variety.
