Victor was an awesome teacher, so knowledgeable and passionate about indigenous Zapotec cuisine. He’s very connected in the community. I felt like I walked away with not only cooking skills, but cultural knowledge as well. If you are learning Spanish, he and the staff are very patient with you and willing to help you (though he also speaks English), so don’t worry if you don’t.

Victor was an amazing teacher of Oaxaca, the cuisine and how to cook it step by step! Best mole (and the rest of the food!) I've ever had! My favorite memory from my short trip by far.

Really enjoyed our cooking class. First walked to the local market to buy the fresh ingredients and then spent the next few hours preparing the most delicious oaxacan mole meal. Our group was about 12 young people from Europe so we were the oldest by far! But keeps us young at heart. Highly recommend this company and experience

Couldn't recomend this class more highly. Victor was an incredible teacher, sharing his families traditional recipies, giving a comprehensive insight behind Oaxacan cuisine, the history around it and then the techniques used. The food we cooked was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to get back home and try recreate them. Victor was also very encouraging to us as non spanish speakers and helped us improve along the way. His team working with him were also very lovely

Victor Ramirez was amazing - both funny and informative. Would recommend to anyone coming to Oaxaca. The market tour and the class itself were both great.

In this class, we experienced the Market and learned about all the ingredients for the dishes we were going to prepare. Pablo did an excellent job sharing the history and cultural significance of everything included. The cooking process was completely involving of our attention and we learned so much! The food was absolutely delicious! We would take this class again and we recommend it 100%. Even if you do not spend a lot of time in the kitchen at home, if you want to learn then this class is for you!
