This walking tour is designed to give you a broad understanding of Edinburgh, it's history and culture. The tour runs for around two hours taking in many of the sites of the Old Town which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We strive to be informative yet entertaining on this tour, delivering an overview of Edinburgh with the passion it deserves.

What To Expect

Edinburgh Old Town

The walking tour will take you up and down the network of cobbled streets and back alleys that make up the historic heart of the Old Town of Edinburgh. The tour runs for around two hours and you can expect to see sights such as St Giles Cathedral, the Mercat Cross, the George Heriot School and Edinburgh Castle (from the outside). Every guide who works with us is strongly encouraged to develop their own tour route to help ensure that they are passionate about the stories and history that they deliver on their tour. We believe this tour will give you a good understanding of Edinburgh and is a great basis for the other tours that we offer.

Great tour, the guide had plenty of personality. We got some dinner recommendations for later, and some ideas of things tourists miss. The tour included plenty of spots up on the royal mile went through some history and some of the characters involved in the history

This was a good way to explore the old town and learn about its history. Our guide Jule had many stories and pieces of information to share. We covered a lot in two hours and this tour would set you up well for further exploration of the old town.
