Muscat
Our next stop to Fins Beach, It is strikingly white, curiously pebbly, incredibly blue and jaw-droppingly amazing.
Wadi Shab
Then we continue drive to Wadi Shab this Wadi is an enormous canyon gorge that is lined with palm trees and impressive indications of what the power of the water coming down from the mountains can do in nature. With around 35-minute hike up through the canyon Wadi, we arrive at one of several crystal- clear water pools. Tourists can swim on through the warm waters from pool to pool. Eventually, we come to the last pool where an opening among the enormous rocks allows us to swim into an incredible crevice cave with a small waterfall. Inside, the sunlight filters in from the outside, turning the water into a beautiful turquoise blue whilst water showers down one side of the cave from the wadi beyond.
Wadi Tiwi
Our next stop is the Wadi Tiwi photo stop, which is named after Tiwi village at the coast, is a beautiful wadi with the lush plantations giving it a different (certainly greener) feel than many other wadis,

Nizwa Fort Oman
The fort is a museum today and offers splendid views of this ancient town and the surrounding mountains. You can walk around in this impressive fortress and visit its many rooms, passages, and towers. The fort is an architectural testimony to the economic and military achievements of the early Yaruba dynasty from the mid-17th century. It was a military stronghold designed to withstand even the strongest of attacks at the time. Even along the corridors, many traps were laid to deter any intruders that might have penetrated the defenses.
Nizwa Souq
The Nizwa Souq is among the largest of its kind in the country. A wide variety of vendors offer their goods in the streets of the souk. Here you can find fish, meat, vegetables, pottery, jewellery, handicrafts, and souvenirs which are sold in authentic old market halls that few places can boast. Especially interesting is the Friday cattle market when the locals from the nearby Villages come to sell their donkeys, goats, cattle, sheep, and chickens in a circus-style open marketplace.

This was an excellent trip with our guide Mohammed. Mohammed was a last minute replacement as our original guide was unable to make the trip due to personal reasons however he filled in seamlessly. He communicated well, was friendly and was very knowledgeable. We asked lots of questions and he patiently answered them all. Although there was a fair amount of travelling in a car, Mohammed kept the trip interesting and provided lots of information about Oman and the places we visited. The highlights of the tour were the swim in Wadi Shab, the stay in the desert camp, dune bashing and turtle watching.

This was a fantastic 3 days tour to explore Oman. The variety of sites and locations visited were great to explore. The dessert and the 4x4 dune bashing was a highlight of the this trip as well as the turtle watching the first evening. Our guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information regarding the history of Oman as well as they overall culture in Oman. He was very open to answering our multiple questions to help us understand life in Oman. He knew where to take us and the best way to get to where we wanted to explore, for example the best path at Wadi Shab to get to the water we could swim into to get to the waterfall. His extensive knowledge and experience as a tour guide was very beneficial and made this 3 day tour absolutely amazing. Thank-you Mohammed. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Mohammed to be your guide.

Great thanks to the travel company Star Tour Oman for a well-organized 3 day tour in western Oman Great experiences in a beautiful country with a friendly people. A special thanks to our guide Yousef, who with his respectful and very caring way guided us all days. We raised 2 adults and our grandson in 5 years, which is not an easy task. Great safety and care for all of us. Great patience for one, not always reasonable 5 year old. We were welcomed with great warmth, interest and confidence. A story about history, tradition and nature. Always a good sense of our needs. Many thanks to Yousef for giving us atmospheric and memorable experiences for the rest of our lives, both for us and our grandson Matheo. Thank you for the many lovely photos, as a reminder. We started our day from Turtle beach where we watched the stunning sunrise. After breakfast, the day started with the drive to Sur. Our driver, Khalid, let us out of the car to walk over a bridge with a beautiful view of the city, before we visited the Dhow factory. It was a nice experience with a lot of interesting history! After the factory, we went to see the gazelles in Al-Ghazal nature reserve. The reserve introduced us to the animal, but made sure both us and the animals were safe during the visit. It seemed like an amazing nature reserve where they had the animals best interest at heart always. After, we drove to Wadi Bani Khalid for a nice swim and a cave walk. Mr. Alraqadi went into the cave with us and guided us safely through it. The day continued with a fun car ride into the desert to a Bedouin camp for some coffee and dates, before we got to ride a camel. They also had some nice handmade crafts there, which were available to buy. The day ended with a drive through the desert in time to see the sunset from the dunes. Our guide made sure we had a good spot to see the sunset from. He also took amazing photos of us throughout the day and even made several instagram-ready videos for us from the photos. This trip was truly amazing, and I would recommend this trip and Khalid Alraqadi to anyone thinking of going to Oman! 11/10

Highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to see Oman! Our guide, Khalid Alraqadi, was really knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions along the way. We had plenty of time to swim and explore all the sights. We visited the Bimmah sink hole, the white sands of Fins beach and Wadi Shab. Our guide, Khalid, took some beautiful photos of us at these gorgeous locations and throughout the tour did everything he could to accommodate our needs and wants. The tour provides plenty of snacks and water
