You'll be welcomed into my kitchen to master the typical Polish skill - PIEROGI making. I will be pleased to introduce you to the most famous and delicious Polish dish. First, we'll walk through the oldest marketplace in town. It is a place to be, not only because of the great amount of fresh, local products but also because of its vibrant and unique atmosphere with some great hidden gems! After we buy what we need (and also what we can't help but try) we'll have a short walk to my apartment. There you'll be treated to some local snacks and drinks and we’ll start cooking. You will know the whole process of preparing pierogi, from dough making, preparing the filling and creating special shapes of the dough, and finally eating! We will prepare pierogi with the most traditional filling - fresh cottage cheese, potatoes, and caramelized onions. During the experience, I will share my knowledge of Kraków, Poland, and our culinary traditions. I'll give you my recommendations of where to go and what to try while visiting Kraków to feel like a true local. The main goal of the experience? Food hedonism! Notice! On Sundays, the experience takes place without a visit to the food market.

Full group participation to make pierogi, The class began with a trip to the local open market which is open every day of the year. One can find all of the food you need at this market all from local farms. We then took a short walk to the hosts apartment where we had some snack purchased at the market and then began our lesson on making pierogi, and we also at all of them at the kitchen table.

Ogla was very knowledgeable and the whole experience was delightful! We went shopping at the market, then to her apartment for snacks, then to cook up pierogis from scratch in her kitchen. I don't cook but Olga went step by step for this amatuer and others who were experienced cooks also learned so much from Olga. The pierogis were way better tasting than what we had ate at restuarants in Krakow.

Pierogi making was definitely worth the time and extra cost. From going to the market, gathering ingredients and being invited into someone’s home was great! Not only did we make delicious pierogis but enjoyed hearing personal stories and history in an intimate setting. Anna made us feel like family.

What a great cultural experience we had with this pierogi cooking class. Olga was extremely welcoming and fluent in English. We started in the local food market, which was a fun experience. This was followed by the lesson in her beautiful apartment. She is a great instructor and we all left feeling confident in being able to recreate the process on our own. Olga is bright, friendly and so informative. We had a lovely few hours with her and learned not only how to cook traditional pierogis but much about Polish culture as well. We highly recommend this experience!

This was the best experience! Olga took us to the amazing market first. Then we walked to her flat for snacks. Preparing the pierogi was so much fun! Olga is right there to help. More snacks & enjoyment of the pierogi made it the perfect afternoon. Truly loved meeting people in our group of 8. And Olga is absolutely the best! Do it!
