What To Expect

If you’re looking for a break from sightseeing, our Florence pizza and gelato making class is a fun, family-friendly way to experience real Italian culture away from the crowds. We take you south of the Arno river to Oltrarno – an old bohemian neighbourhood full of artisan studios, hidden bars and family-run restaurants. There you’ll meet a professional chef who’ll show you how to make pizza, gelato and other delicious baked goods like a local. Roll up your sleeves and discover how to prepare the perfect pizza base. Then create two delicious gelato flavours using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Once you’ve finished, you’ll sit down to eat with your cooking companions and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a well-earned glass of Prosecco or soft drink of your choice. There’s even time to enjoy our garden terrace.

We had 5 in our group and were joined by another 7. We had a very personalized experience in how to make your own pizza which was amazing. Alessa instructed us in detail In how to make your pizza dough from scratch. We then make Gelato, cooked our pizza and enjoyed all of it. I would highly recommend this class. It is well worth it.

Ginevra was our instructor and she was amazing!! She is so funny and smiley! We had two other couples and two kiddos in our class and it was a good time to have all ages involved . The pizza that we made was some of the best we had during our visit. My husband and I highly recommend.

Chef Alina and Alina were both incredible. Not only was the food superb, but they were warm and gracious hosts. With good company, great instructors, wine, pizza, gelato, and sorbet, how could it be anything but perfect!

We booked the family cooking class because we have two small children (4 & 2 years old) and we were struggling to find activities that would accommodate them. This class was perfect. Mary was so kind and patient and allowed the kids to be kids and enjoy making pizza.
