The Archaeological and Landscape Park of the Valley of the Temples is an examples of Greater Greece art and architecture. Declared UNESCO World Heritage, contains exceptional monumental and includes the ruins of the ancient city of Akragas immersed in a rural landscape, characterized by the presence of century-old olive and almond trees. Scale of the Turks visit: Among the many stairways you know, this is definitely one of the most unusual. You have probably already realized that this is not a real ladder, but of a spectacular stretch of coast thanks to its peculiarity has become an icon of the Sicilian seaside tourism. This white cliff is located along the stretch of sea between Realmonte and Porto Empedocle (Agrigento) and its rock is made of a soft, limestone and a blinding white marl. The sea, taking advantage of this sparkling white, will be showing off his blue. A very intense blue, and while sitting on the steps admiring the sea, you will be surrounded by the most pleasant thoughts. My daughter and I traveled here to see the Valley of the temples and it was spectacular. This was by far the best example of this time. In such great shape would highly recommend to any one.

We were so grateful to have Dario as our driver to take us to Agrigento and explain a few things about Palermo on the way. He wasn’t overly chatty but let us enjoy the ride and answered all our questions. We loved his music selection too.

We spent three days with Mauricio Escobar Fernandez in Santiago and surrounding area. We communicated for several months before the trip. He sent lots of information about the area and suggestions for tours, including prices which are very reasonable. We hadn't been in Chile an hour when I fell flat on my face and knees in the parking garage at the airport. (I was so disgusted with myself.) Mauricio was so concerned and helpful. We had planned a tour for that day, but he kindly took us to the hotel to recuperate and checked in later. Luckily, we were still able to enjoy two days with him. He was so thoughtful in adapting his tour to my injury. He speaks both English and Spanish and is very knowledgeable of the the area and its people. He takes you beyond the regular tourist areas to give you a true picture of the culture. We saw Santiago, Valparaiso, Vina del Mar, and enjoyed the Casablanca winery. Mauricio is a treasure and a wonderful representative of his country. You will feel that you've made a friend and be sad to leave him.

The driver was nice but on his phone a lot. Did a good job driving there and back but no additional information and we had to make a stop for him to buy fruit.

We arranged for the Agrigento trip months beforehand, but could have arranged just a few days prior, with great ease. The day before the trip, we received a notification and contact information and just as promised our driver, Marco, arrived 15 mins prior ready for us at pick-up time. Marco provided a clean, A/C cooled, comfortable van for up to 8 passengers and drove us safely from our rental home in Santa Flavia (Palermo area) to Agrigento and Scala di Turcas. Marco answered all of our questions and provided recommendations for restaurants in between the two excursions. At the Valley of the Temples, I purchased our entrance tickets on-line, but easily could have purchased them on-site with a few minute wait. Online tickets got us right in. It was hot, so having water along the way is key. Once the tour of the Valley was over (1.5-2 hours in length...that is about how long it takes to fully explore the valley), Marco picked us up promptly and drove us to lunch. At Scala di Turcas, we were pointed in the right direction and were glad to have this part of the trip added. Really an incredible sight!! Great adventure and photos. Afterwards, we met up with Marco for our journey home. To and from Palermo area, it took us 2 hours. The ride home gave us time for a much needed nap. Marco made us feel safe. After the trip, Marco provided us with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations for Palermo. Well worth it!! Thanks!
